[a/n] okay, so most of y'all wanted a tie so here it is ahaha!

"IT'S...A TIE?!?! MIDORIYA AND MIYAZAKI HAVE TIED FOR FIRST PLACE!!!"

The two looked at each other. Izuku panted whilst Hanako smiled softly at the boy.

She may not have completely won, but she did tie for first place, which she could live with. However, that wouldn't stop her from winning first in any other games!

"Good job Izuku!" The dragon slayer congratulated, patting the boy's back as he continued to pant.

Izuku blushed at the compliment, enjoying the praise.

"T-thank...you," he breathed out. "But you were...amazing...also!"

Hanako smiled warmly at him.

"Well yeah, because you were my competition!" She grinned.

Izuku blinked, more heat rising to his cheeks. She saw him as competition? Izuku was really in awe at the girl. She was so powerful, yet, she saw someone like him as competition. Someone so weak and frail who could barely hold a candle to her.

It really was beautiful.

She was really beautiful.

'Wait, what?! Did I just think that?? I mean, of course I've always thought she was pretty but I think every girl is pretty and come to think of it why do I always get so flustered around her I mean surely there's something wrong with me because we're best friends and I don't know but this feeling is weird and I always feel extra nervous when I'm around her and-'

"Izuku? Izuku!"

"AAH!!" He jumped, his face becoming scarlet red.

"Hey are you okay? You were spacing out there and you had a weird look on your face," Hanako pointed out.

"Y-y-y-yeah I-I'm f-f-fine! J-just d-dandy!!!" He stuttered, laughing nervously at the end.

Hanako blinked in confusion.

"O-kay?"

"THE CONTESTANTS ARE POURING IN ONE AFTER THE OTHER!! LETS HEAR SOME APPLAUSE FOR ALL OUR COMPETITORS AS WE PREPARE THE RESULTS!"

"You guys! That was amazing!!" Uraraka shouted, walking up to the two.

"Thank you."

"Uraraka! You did great too!"

"Thanks Miyazaki!! I can't believe you guys tied for first place, I'm jealous!"

"Oh it was nothing..."

"The first game for the first years is finally over, and what a game it was! Now let's take a quick look at the standings, shall we?" Midnight announced, a score board appearing behind her.

the first 42 names appeared on the board.

1st: Izuku Midoriya

1st: Hanako Miyazaki

2nd: Shouto Todoroki

3rd: Katsuki Bakugou

And so on.

"Only the top 42 will advance to the next round. But don't feel too left out if you didn't make the cut! We've prepared other opportunities for you to shine. Now the real fun is about to begin, the chance to fully move yourselves into the limelight. Give it your best!! Let's see what we have in store for you next! Will your wildest fantasies come to life? What could it be, the waiting is torture! Prepare yourselves...for this!!"

The board behind Midnight began to flash through multiple options, finally stopping on one that read 'cavalry battle'.

"Allow me to explain. The participants will form teams of two to four people as they see fit. In theory it's basically the same as a regular playground game, but there is one difference. Each player has been assigned a point value based on the results from the obstacle course," Midnight explained.

"So that means each team will have a different point value based on which students are on it!" Uraraka concluded.

"Uh huh!" Mina agreed.

"Maybe you should shut up and let me explain things to you!!!" Midnight roared.

"Now then, the point assignments go up by increments of five starting from the bottom. For example 42nd place is worth five points and 41st is worth ten. And the point value assigned to the first place contestant is...TEN MILLION!!"

All eyes were on the two first place winners, their competitive eyes zeroed in.

"But, since we had a tie for first place, the points will be split in half, so each of them will be worth five million!!!"

Hanako smirked. This was sure to be fun.

"That's right, it's survival of the fittest for the chance for those at the bottom to overthrow the top!! First years, these are the rules that you'll abide by!! The game itself will last fifteen minutes. Individual point values will be added together to reach your team total. Everyone will know how much you're worth thanks to your headband. Swipe as many headbands as you can to raise your team's score. Stolen headbands must be worn from the neck up. So the more you steal, the harder it'll be to manage them. And another thing, even if your headband gets stolen or your team falls down, you can keep playing until time's up! This is going to be rough, you may use your quirks as much as you like! But, there are still rules. Make a team fall on purpose and I'll slap you with a red card! You'll be disqualified! Now, you've got fifteen minutes to build your team! I recommend you get started!"

Hanako clenched her fists determinedly. Defend her points and steal other peoples? What a game! Now for the question, who should she team up with?

"Hanako!"

"Oi, Peacock!!!"

"Miyazaki."

Well, looks like the question answered itself.

Hanako jumped, seeing three boys approach her at the same time. They all looked at each other as if to say, 'what are you doing here?!'

"Join my team!" They all said at the same time.

"U-um!"

The three engaged in a stare off. Izuku was sweating bullets, Todoroki was eyeing the two suspiciously and Bakugou was glaring at the both of them.

"I-if you join my team, I think we can definitely protect the combined ten million!"

"Oh shut the fuck up, Deku!! If you join me we'll be unstoppable!!!"

"Our victory is assured if you join me."

Izuku was nervous. What if she said no?! Why was he so nervous in the first place??

Bakugou was angry. How dare Todoroki and Deku show up and ask Hanako to join their teams too?! He was the only choice! He would make sure of it!

Todoroki was pretty passive. He already had a plan of action, but with Hanako, first place was guaranteed to be his.

But Hanako had a problem now, who to choose?! Izuku was her best friend, but now Bakugou was her friend too. She couldn't choose between them! She didn't know Todoroki too well, but he was strong. But she wanted to be the rider, and she had a feeling each of them wanted that position also.

"Hey, Miyazaki, right?"

Oh thank Mavis! Her savior! It was the purple haired boy who stood in front of their classroom.

The four of them snapped their heads to the tired looking boy.

"Wanna join my team? I'll let you be the rider," the boy offered, looking to the female dragon slayer.
