Chapter 5: Common Room

Jiro POV
Most of our class were sitting together in the common room near the dorms, so that the rest of our class could introduce themselves. The only ones who weren't here were Kaminari, Midoriya and Bakugo.
"Okay since I was the last person to introduce myself, I'll pick someone. So how about you, blonde boy." I pointed directly at a slender kid with blonde hair and black gloves with what looks like crystals in the middle of them.
"Why yes, my lady, of course you should pick me. I stand out don't I? My name is Minari Aoyama, yes it's me, the son of Yuga Aoyama. My quirk is called Crystal Hands. You see these beautiful things?" He holds up his hands, showing the gloves. They each have a blue crystal in the centre. I feel myself roll my eyes at his words.
"Basically, I can shoot a light blue laser out of the crystals on my hands. You there, honey blonde boy. I pick you." He points at a quiet boy sitting in the corner.

Ojiro POV
"...you there, honey blonde boy. I pick you." I look up to see a kid with pale blonde hair pointing at me.
"Guess it's my turn. My name is Kaori Ojiro. My quirk is called Baton. I can make any 2 of my limbs longer, harder and more durable, like a baton. Uh how about...."
"I think I will go next if that is alright!!" I hear someone say in a very orderly fashion.
"Yo dude. Chill. We're not in class anymore. What's your name?" Jiro says, closing her eyes.
"Yes I apologise. My name is Satoshi Iida. My quirk is called Sonic. I can run fast because of the engines in my ankles, like my father. I can also roll into a ball and roll fast, like the movie character Sonic. You next, young lady." Iida points at a girl with messy brown hair and Jen bows politely before sitting down.

Sato POV
"There's really no need for that weather boy. My name is Nyoko Sato and my quirk is called Hyperdrive. I can produce sugar and sugary foods from will. If I eat a lot of them then I go into 'hyperdrive mode'. My pain tolerance gets higher, my strength increases, my initiative gets better and I can run and move a lot faster." I finish with a smile. "How about you four?" I say, motioning to four kids in a row, all with black hair.
"Fumiko Yaoyorozu."
"Hisoka Tokoyami."
"Hinata Sero."
"Tsuyoi Kirishima." The four of them reply with their names. I motion for them to go on but I don't think they get the hint.  "Keep going. What's your quirk?" I say to the group of dark haired kids.
"Creation Duplication. Anything I draw comes to life at will and I can duplicate anything as long as I know the full process of how it's made." Yaoyorozu said with a small smile.
"Shadowling. I can create 8 shadows at a time and give them targets to attack. If you are not the target, they are nothing but shadows. If you are the target, they become like humans. They are solid and can hurt you. I make the shadows go away by double tapping each of them on the shoulder." Tokoyami said in a husky voice.
"Tape, I know it's boring. I can make tape that is super strong and flexible." Sero shows us the holes in his forearms. "It can hold over 30kg of weight."
"Stone. I can make parts of myself stone and if I touch you for longer then 8 seconds while my quirk is activated, you turn to a stone statue for 30 seconds-2 minutes." Kirishima said enthusiastically. "I'm gonna go find Kaminari now. Bye guys." She stood up and left the room, waving and smiling.

Yaoyorozu POV
"Well how about you? What's your name?" I ask quietly, gently motioning to a short boy with bright purple hair.
"Well hi guys. My name is Hikare Mineta. My quirk is called Gum Web. I can make strong, sticky purple gum. And might I just say, you girls are gorgeous."
"Hey dude, listen up. I'm sure all of us have heard about your dad and how he treated our parents in their UA days. So how about you stop calling us gorgeous." Jiro told him sternly, always being the one to stand up for others.
"I know my dad was an asshole. But I'm not like him. I don't want to be like my dad. I want to be respectful towards all of you. I was calling you gorgeous as a compliment but I'll leave if I'm making people uncomfortable." He stood up but I grabbed his hand.
"It's okay Mineta. Pick someone go introduce themselves."

Mineta POV
"Thank you. How about you, pinky in the corner." I point at a girl with light pink skin, dark pink hair and green eyes. A smile appeared on her face.
"OKAY!! My name is Emiko Ashido!! My quirk is, quite dramatically, called Perfume of Death. When my quirk is lightly activated, skin in my hands, arms and neck give off a sweet smelling mist that resembles perfume. One smell of this mist and you're paralysed for around a minute." She said happily. "Who are you? You're awfully quiet."

Ashido POV
"Who are you? You're awfully quiet." I point at a boy with dirty red and white hair. I've never heard him speak.
"My name is Sota Todoroki. My quirk is Ice Burn. You'll find out what it does when it's necessary for you to know. You" he said bluntly, lazily pointing at a girl with silvery hair that flowed down her back.

Hagakure POV
I was caught off guard to see the Todoroki boy pointing at me. I thought I had turned invisible but apparently not. I cleared my throat and introduced myself.
"Hi everyone. My name is Mie Hagakure. My quirk is called Partial Invisibility. I can make parts of or my whole body invisible and, with a lot of effort, I can turn objects and even people partially or fully invisible." I laughed nervously as I pointed directly at the last 2 people to introduce themselves, Daichi Koda and Nezu Shoji. They're my 2 good friends from middle school and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they chose not to introduce themselves. I was right. They both shook their heads. After that, everyone went back to their dorms to rest up, ready for the awaiting classes in the dream school of every child in Japan.
