“What do you plan to do, hyung?” Jungkook asked as he patted Jimin’s head. Jimin was still sleeping on Jungkook’s lap, showing no signs of waking up anytime soon.
“I’m trying to think about something…” Namjoon said, worried. “If I go back to my pack empty-handed, the council will surely do something to my loved ones… Still, it’s the only option I can think of. I can go back and announce that I failed to kidnap Jimin because you are too strong for me to beat you.”
“Won’t your people look down on you after that?”
“My people know that I’m the strongest werewolf in our pack. If I come back injured and some people wants to duel me for the leader position, I’ll be able to beat them easily. When the sceptical ones will be convinced, no one will be able to go against the fact that you were too strong for me. The council won’t be able to say anything either.”
Jungkook thought about Namjoon’s plan. “That’s a good plan. It’ll spread words that our alliance is corrupted to the other packs. The Shin and Park pack will probably think that they will outnumber us if we were to fight.”
“But you know that I will fight alongside you if there’s an attack on your pack, right?”
“Yeah. I believe you, hyung. Jimin wouldn’t have saved you if he thought of you as his enemy.” Jungkook smiled and poked Jimin’s cheek, which made the younger stir a little bit in his sleep.
“Thank you for your trust, Jungkook. I’ll be happy to help when the time comes…”
For the rest of the night, the two friends talked about their childhood and recalled happy moments that happened to them in their early years. Soon enough, the sun was starting to show itself. “Let’s go back to the pack.” Jungkook suggested.
“Wait. We can’t go like this. I look uninjured and if we go back like this, people won’t believe that I tried to harm Jimin. We need your people to think that we’re not allies anymore.” Namjoon said.
“That’s true. Let me mind link Hoseok and Yoongi.” Jungkook said. Few minutes later, Yoongi and Hoseok were by Jungkook’s side. When they arrived, they knew exactly what happened since Jungkook explained everything to them before they came.
“Let’s go back then.” Jungkook carried Jimin in his arms as Yoongi and Hoseok brought Namjoon back as if he was a prisoner.
“Wait Kook. You need to injure me. It has to look like severe injuries.” Namjoon said.
“Can’t you hurt yourself? I hate hurting people unnecessarily…” Jungkook sighed. In the end, Yoongi volunteered to injure Namjoon. He made sure that the wounds were deep enough to draw out blood but not deep enough to seriously injure Namjoon.
“Here. He looks really bad like this.” Yoongi smirked as he saw his ‘masterpiece’.
“Shit, it actually hurts like hell though.” Namjoon chuckled as Yoongi and Hoseok grabbed his arms, bringing him back to the pack like he was a prisoner. Jimin was still sleeping in Jungkook’s arms as the little gang of friends walked back to the pack.
As they arrived, Yoongi, Jungkook and Hoseok made sure to make it look like Namjoon was the one who assaulted Jimin. He didn’t need to say much. The group of protesters were the ones who started to revolt again.
“Isn’t it alpha Kim? Why is the reincarnation unconscious?” A random person asked. As Jungkook expected, a man started to spread false speculations about what happened.

“Can’t you see that he tried to attack the reincarnation? Why would he be held like this by our two best fighters?” Jungkook internally smirked when he heard those words. Since he didn’t say anything to retaliate the accusations, the pack started to believe that Namjoon indeed attacked Jimin. When the five of them arrived near Jungkook’s hut, there was a little crowd that followed them. Jungkook thought that it was the best moment to play the game.
“Kim Namjoon. As a token of our friendship, I’m going to let you and Kim Seokjin leave my territory without any harm but after that, our packs won’t be allies anymore.” Jungkook said with an emotionless tone. He then went in his hut to take care of Jimin. Yoongi and Hoseok then went in Jin’s hut to ‘guard’ Namjoon and Jin while they would pack their things.
Jin was confused at first. He didn’t know what was happening. He heard the rumors about Namjoon hurting Jimin but he couldn’t believe them. He needed to confront Namjoon to get to the bottom of this situation. When the oldest saw in what state Namjoon was, he immediately rushed to Namjoon, his face showing his worry and shock.
“I’m fine. Don’t worry.” Namjoon smiled. He then lowered his voice in case anyone could hear them outside of the hut. “The wounds aren’t deep. I’ll explain everything to you later. All you need to know is that this is all part of a bigger plan, okay?”
Jin wasn’t convinced as he saw Namjoon start packing. He turned around and looked at Yoongi and Hoseok for further explanation. “We need to make the other packs believe that we’re not allies anymore so we can take them by surprise later on. Namjoon and Jimin’s situation led to all of this.” Hoseok tried to explain.
“We need to talk with Jungkook, so when you guys are done, you can come to Jungkook’s hut.” Yoongi said. Hoseok and Yoongi then left Jin and Namjoon alone.
When the pair arrived at Jungkook’s hut, Taehyung was already there. He was talking with Jungkook, probably trying to understand what was happening. Jungkook also took care of Jimin tugging him comfortably in his bed as the omega continued to sleep peacefully.
“No worries, Kook. I actually think that it’s a good plan. The other packs won’t know what’s coming if they try to attack us.” Taehyung concluded after Jungkook finished his explanation. Jungkook, Taehyung, Hoseok and Yoongi then talked more about the plan until there was nothing more to say. Then, a moment of silence occurred. Somehow, Jungkook’s friends knew that something was on their leader’s mind.
“It might not be the best moment to talk about this but I feel that there’s something on your mind since Junghyun’s death…” Hoseok started.
“I agree. You seem to be closer to Jimin in the past three months, but you’re also not courting him. We all know that you both have feelings for each other, but there’s something blocking you two.” Yoongi added.
“Correction: I have feelings for him, but he doesn’t.” Jungkook retaliated.
“I know my Jiminie. He really likes you. He’s just shy.” Taehyung said. Jungkook didn’t believe his best friend’s words, choosing to ignore him for the moment.
There was another pause before Jungkook started to speak again. He didn’t know how to voice his worries. Usually, he would keep them to himself and deal with them alone, but it’s been three months and he still didn’t know how to deal with them. “Remember three months ago, we caught a prisoner. The prisoner said something to me before dying.” Jungkook started. “He told me that I would regret mating Jimin. At first, I didn’t mind his words but then, I remember how all the other reincarnations all died at a young age. I tried to find clues about what could happen to Jimin if we mate, but I couldn’t find any.”
