"That's how the Kingsburg Hotel was meant to be built. You see, this is one of the many hotels that King Alistaire himself comes to when he visits Mormore City. Everything you see around us was approved by the king himself," she explained to us, and that just made our jaws drop even more.

The freaking King stays here?! No wonder it feels like I'm in his castle!

"Is there something I can help you two with?" She asked.

"Ah, yes, we were told to follow this address because we were told that we were staying here," Julia told the maid.

"Would you two happen to be the Kidd siblings?"

"Yes, we are," I replied, and the maid kindly gave us a bow.

"Then you two must be with Lady Kaisa. It's a pleasure to meet you two. I'm Luna, Lady Kaisa's personal maid at the hotel. Let me show you to the room." Luna began to walk towards the elevators, and we followed her. Once inside the elevator, she pressed one of the top buttons, and after a five-minute ride up, we finally made it to the floor. Continuing onward, we walked down a long hallway until we stopped in front of the door with the number: 197. "I welcome you two to Lady Kaisa's suite." Luna opened the door. We instantly got a gorgeous view of Mormore City that seemed to stretch for miles. As we ran inside, we took a look around the suite, and we couldn't believe it.

On my right was the kitchen, and it had the latest appliances that I only dreamed of using to cook with. And along with the appliances, the kitchen had a long island with a second sink on it and a beautiful black soapstone countertop. I checked the fridge, and it was already stocked full of food.

There are so many things I can cook with everything that's in here! We'll be able to eat like royalty with my cooking!

"Julia, this kitchen is awesome!" I called out to her.

"That's nothing compared to the living room, look behind you!" She hollered back, and I turned around. The living room had the latest television on the wall with several couches that looked like they could be used for beds.

Mother paid no expenses for the hotel, but how could she be able to afford all of this?!

"Oh, you two haven't seen the bedrooms yet," Luna hinted. We instantly ran around frantically trying to find the bedrooms, and when I find one, I stop in front of the doorway and literally let out a scream of shock.

"This can't be our rooms!" I walked in and jumped onto the bed that was fit for a king. It was so unbelievably soft that it felt like I was floating in the air. Soon I heard Julia scream, which meant she found the other bedroom, but instead of going inside, I could hear her running over to me, and she started jumping on my bed.

"James, can you believe this?!" She asked me with her face flat on the covers.

"Oh, I definitely believe it. Jules, I don't know how but I'm glad Kaisa has her own suite here."

"And that's not all you two; with this suite, you get the royal hotel treatment. The staff and I will be at your beckoning call with anything you need. We treat every guest of the Kingsburg Hotel as if they are a King and Queen." Luna explained to us.

"I don't know how I feel about that, but this feels great," I said, then I realized something. "Wait, Julia, did you see Kaisa or Sharon anywhere?"

"No, actually. We have to call them."

"Yeah, uh, can you please leave Luna, we need to make a call."

"Yes, of course. Just ring for me, and I'll be at your door ready for your requests." Luna bowed and left our suite. Once she was gone, I grabbed the transponder crystal mom gave us. I used it to call her, and almost instantly, mom responded. It looked like she was in a forest of some sort.

"Hey Mom, we got to the hotel, and I can't believe this, everything here is amazing!" I told her, but she didn't seem to react.

"James, Julia, if you're seeing this, it means you made it to my hotel suite, and Sharon and I are nowhere to found. The reason being is that we are no longer in Mormore City. We left."

"Wait, why aren't you guys here anymore?" Julia tried to ask, but it was a prerecorded message.

"We've gone on our journey to our hometown for which I'm not going to say the name of because I'm afraid one of you will coming wanting answers, and well, here they are. When your Head Mistress hid us, she told us all about you, about how you two are descendants of two Constructors and how you've inherited their magic. She told us that you two are on a path that can't be deviated and asked us to not accompany you. Respecting her wishes, we will be leaving by train to our hometown. I've told the hotel that I'd be having you two stay at my suit. If anyone asks who you are, tell them that you are my apprentices, and are staying in my suite awaiting my return." At this point, mom was having trouble speaking with her lips trembling and tears coming out. "I know you would want me by your side, and I wanted to be with you two a little longer, but you have responsibilities that are far greater than anything else. Go find the other Constructors and save Seraphim from this creator, and maybe when that's all done, you can come and find me so we can be a family. Good luck, my babies, and remember that I'll always love you."

The message ended, and we were both just lying in my bed motionless. Julia was looking down at her hands and slowly clenched them. "So, it's just us again, huh?"

"Yeah, it is, but you know what?" I jumped off the bed and landed. "I'm not sad about Mom not being here."

"You're not?"

"Yeah, if anything, this gets me more motivated to train Bianca and find the others, and when we beat the creator, it's just like how mom said, we can finally be a family. She told us that her family have all been fighters; let's keep showing her that we are too." I reached out to Julia with a fist.

"You're right, James," Julia bumped her fist on mine and smiled. "Let's do it!"

At King's Alistaire's castle...

General Meredith watched as her two subjects ran their routine tests and did so with flying colors. The two subjects were hitting and shooting targets, hundreds of them in rapid succession. Once they were done, they stopped and looked up at the glass window. "You two are getting better. We'll run one more test, and that'll be it for today," she spoke to the mic at her subjects who got ready for one more test. The general pressed a few buttons, and the final test began.

These two will be ready to go out into the field soon and get the Kidd siblings. I know what they are. From the moment they stepped into the arena and fought, I could feel what magic they really had. So, I need to find the other two, and my plan may continue. I won't have any interruptions this time.

"How much longer until they're ready to go out, Merie?" Her assistant asked.

"This will be their last test, and after they succeed, all I'll need is the King's permission, and they will go out into Seraphim. I think what they're capable of will be more than convincing to King Alistaire. Our idiot king is itching to start a war with the other two races. By showing them these two, he'll think that that victory will be his."

"Let's hope that Queen Gwenivere won't be too frightened by those two. She was never fond of your 'creations,' Merie."

"I hope the queen gets a heart attack the moment she sees them." The general growled. Just then, they got a knock at the door, and she looked over to where her assistant was to see a small box laying on the floor. "Come in."

The door opened, and King Alistaire came in alone. "Greetings General, I thought I'd find you here."

"Good afternoon your Grace, is there something I can do for you?" She bowed to the king.

"So, who are you training today?" King Alistaire walked over and peeked down at the testing room and froze a for a moment. "Wait, is that Cher? I thought she died when she killed the Archangel that they captured?"

"She did, but thankfully her heart was still intact from the fight, and her conscious has later transferred in an AI system. I wasn't gonna let Cher's abilities go to waste. So, I made her a better, stronger body that she could use. Although some of her memories seem to be missing, she didn't lose her combat training. She also has a complete cybernetic body now run by the several power crystals inside."

"And the other person down there, that's..."

"The boy that we found who discovered his magical gifts? Yes, I said I was gonna train him myself because I saw the potential, and so I have. Stephen Bower has shown nothing but promise. He'll become one of your best soldiers. So, what do you think, my king?"

The king just watched as Stephen and Cher were blasting through their last test. As he watched, he face changed from a very pleased grin to an almost twisted smile. "With these two at my disposal, I can easily show the Owl King Sinbad and Queen Sun Chen, who the superior race is."

"I couldn't agree more your grace. Just give me the word, and I'll let these two roam Seraphim."

I have him where I want him. Soon my plan will fall into place, and nothing will stop me!
