The nearer Shuxin got to her due date, the more nervous she became. I mean, who wouldn't? She's gonna have to squeeze out a living, breathing tiny being out of her vagina. Of course she's nervous.

Xiaotang tries to help Shuxin as much as she can. But unlike the earlier stages of pregnancy, a goldfish crackers and mayo sandwich isn't the solution to all problems.

Shuxin's more sensitive, too. She's also extremely cautious about the way her body looks. Even though, Xiaotang assures her that she's glowing, Shuxin won't buy it three out of five times. But sometimes, Shuxin would let herself feel loved by her Xiaotang.

Like now, for instance.

Xiaotang peppered light kisses on Shuxin's belly. Shuxin giggled lightly as Xiaotang's nose brushed her belly button.

"Tangtang!" she squealed. "That tickles!"

Xiaotang laughed and rubbed Shuxin's very giant belly.

"How our mini Xiaotang doing in there?" Xiaotang asked.

"Mini Xiaotang says she's doing swell," Shuxin answered for the baby.

"How are you so sure it's a she?" Xiaotang quirked a brow. "Did you take a peek at the papers, Yu Shuxin?"

"No!" Shuxin was quick to deny it. "I have an intuition. I didn't look at the papers at all. I handed the envelope to Shaking as soon as we got it."

"Speaking of Shaking," Xiaotang said. "Are you sure we can trust both her and Kiki on planning the gender reveal party?"

"Well, about that," Shuxin began. "You and I both know how clumsy Shaking is and how disoriented Kiki is, yeah?"

"Yes! That's exactly kinda the whole point?" Xiaotang said.

"But you know they have been going through a rough patch lately. So me and the girls got together and devised a plan to make them work together and strengthen their bond."

"But it's a gender reveal party. Won't that touch on Kiki and Shaking's soft spot?"

"Well, we have more planned. But I can't tell you right now."

Xiaotang raised a brow. The bottoms coming together to devise a plan can never be good.

"Little Xiaotang!" Xiaotang murmured to the baby in Shuxin's belly. "Your mama is so mean! She won't tell me what's going on!"

Suddenly, Shuxin and Xiaotang felt the baby kick.

"Oh!" Shuxin gasped.

Xiaotang immediately rubbed Shuxin's belly. The baby kicked again.

"Oh my god!" Xiaotang whispered, eyes tearing up.

"Awwn, baobei!" Shuxin wiped her wife's tears. "Are you getting emotional?"

Xiaotang nodded and kissed Shuxin's stomach.

"I love you so much," she told her wife.

"I love you, too, my Tangtang."

Kiki nervously looked at her wife who was going through lists of gender reveal party ideas. Ever since she apologized, Shaking's been a little distant to her.

Who am I kidding? I brought this onto myself.

Kiki understood why her wife was acting this way, of course. She considers herself lucky that Shaking doesn't hate her after how much she's hurt her wife. Kiki stared at Shaking's side profile and sighed.

"That's like the hundredth time you've sighed this hour, Jiaqi," Shaking grumbled, annoyed. "Find something productive to do."

"I have nothing to do," Kiki muttered under her breath.

Kiki subtly laid down on Shaking shoulder. Shaking gave her an annoyed look and slightly moved away from her touch.

Ouch.

Kiki must admit that it hurt. She sat up straight again and went through the random lists on the coffee table. Her fingers picked up the sketch that Shaking made.

"What is this?" Kiki asked.

"It's a cake, obviously," Shaking deadpanned.

Kiki immediately put the sketch down and twiddled her thumbs. She side-eyed her wife and smiled.

"Keyin..." she coyly called her name. "Keyin... Look at me."

"Xu Jiaqi, I told you once and now I'm telling you twice. Find something productive to do!" Shaking sighed in exasperation.

Kiki kissed Shaking on the cheek, catching the rapper off-guard. She then giggled like a child.

"Ehehe, I got lipstick on your cheek!" she poked Shaking on the cheek.

"I swear to God, Xu Jiaqi!" Shaking grumbled.

And so, Kiki proceeded to bug Shaking or another hour or so. After realizing that she wouldn't be able to elicit a response from her wife, Kiki soon gave up. She got up from the couch dejectedly and trudged upstairs to sulk.

"Kiki, baobei!" Shaking called as Kiki went up the stairs. "Can you bring me my notebook?"

At the sound of being called 'baobei' after two weeks, Kiki's eyes lit up. Her heart soared.

"Okay!"

And just like that she disappeared for fifteen minutes. Shaking tapped her foot impatiently.

Is she okay? Did she fall and die or something?

Shaking couldn't help but worry. Kiki was sometimes unbelievably clumsy.

No, Xie Keyin. You must keep your distance. Play hard to get.

So Shaking kept planning for a longer while. Half an hour passed and Kiki still wasn't back. Now, Shaking was worried. She got up from where she was sitting and walked over to the stairs.

"Kiki?" she called upstairs. "Baobei?"

No answer.

"Kiki?" Shaking was visibly distraught. "Kiki?"

Out of nowhere, Kiki appeared all sweaty. In her hands was the notebook.

"I couldn't find it," she panted. "I looked everywhere. And I still couldn't find it."

"And here I thought you died," Shaking deadpanned.

"Well I have it now!" Kiki smiled with all her teeth.

Kiki stepped onto the first two steps. On the third step, she flew. Yes. Flew. Literally.

"Ai ya ma ya!!!!" screamed Kiki.

"Oh my god, baobei!!" Shaking screamed.

Kiki landed on Shaking, accidentally ordered pining her to the floor. Shaking grunted in pain. Kiki felt around and felt something very soft in her hands.

"Xu Jiaqi, what are you doing?" Shaking asked.

"Oh my god! I am so sorry!" Kiki exclaimed as she checked her wife all over. "Are you hurt?"

"No," Shaking husked, breath tickling Kiki's ear. "If you wanted to touch them, why don't you say so?"

"Huh?" Kiki was dumbfounded.
