Chara laid in the white space, in the empty world that once was his home. He took his soul out and admired as the colors shifted from purple to red.

He had finally gotten his soul back, and had destroyed X-Gaster before the old man could destroy him first. Now, he had returned to his world and sat on what supposed to be the ground; only his black clothing separating him from the whiteness around him. It was an empty world, yet, for Chara, there was nothing else for him to do. He had achieved what he himself deemed impossible. There was nothing else left for him to do.

Except there was.

"Chara." Nightmare's darkness contrasted with the pale ambience around him. His tentacles twitched and moved as his one blue eye commanded to be obeyed. The young one that laid on the floor only opened an eye, since the other was covered with his white hair.

"Nightmare." Was all he said. As challenging as always.

"You have not fulfilled your side of the deal."

"Actually, I did. I got what I wanted. I used you to get what I now have, so our deal is off."

His smart-ass comments never go by the dark one, so he was confused when the dark oozed skelleton just laughed and backed away to rattle his bones with the dark chuckles. Chara sat up from his laid position and looked to where his boss was. The other didn't seem to stop laughing and that brought him doubt.

"Of course! The deal is supposed to be off!"

Chara's surprise turned into a scowl when he realized what his boss was doing. He bent on one knee to stand up when a tentacle wrapped around his neck, dragging three feet up in the sky to make him crash at Nightmares feet. Being forced to look down, he heard his boss warning, making Chara clench his fists.

"How pitiful. Need I remind you of what happens when you use me?"

The tentacle made Chara face Nightmare, the kid's expression being of true hatred while the other's was of a certain euphoria.

"Do you really want to waste your breath, octopus?" Chara said, giving a sly smirk at the end.

His smirk was changed to a startled gasp as both the skeleton and half-human vanished and appeared somewhere else. The tendril hadn't released Chara, so he remained in a puppet like state.

"The deal is done when I say it is done. I created the contract, I choose when to end it."

He let go and disappeared. Chara glared at the green floor and sighed.

"Now where the heck am I?"
