You gently yet rapidly bounced your leg whilst sitting in your seat, using the motion as a way to slow your insane heartbeat. It felt like the organ was beating at a thousand miles per hour, practically popping out your ribcage. In a way, you found the rhythmically paced beats calming. However, they were not calming enough to ease any of your doubts. The situation at hand was just too dire in order for your worries to be cleansed by a mere rhythm.

It was the day of the Sports Festival.

Currently you, as well as the rest of your peers, were residing in the designated waiting room for class 3-A. They (your teachers) had instructed you all to stay inside the room until it was time to go out and introduce yourselves. Apparently they would even have a class representative go on stage to provide an 'introduction' of sorts. You didn't really know much of what was going to take place afterwards, seeing as most of the tidbits of information that you knew were gained through Aizawa, and he refused to give you insight on the challenges no matter how much you begged.

So, it looks like you were going through this blind.

It wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be, though. Or maybe that was the dissociative part of your mind talking, you didn't know.

Anyhow, the subtle chatter inside the room did manage to calm your nerves just a teeny bit. As much as they could anyway. In fact, a part of you had expected for the room to be louder, due to the boisterous nature of your peers; and the countless times your class had gotten complaints for being too loud. Incidents like that only added to your hypothesis. However, it looked like your thoughts had turned out to be false, since your classmates were actually being quite silent, much to your surprise. You guessed it was due to nervousness, as you didn't exactly feel like conversing either. But the fact that everyone in this room would soon be turned against each other probably added to it.

You lightly nibbled on your fingernails, not biting hard enough to actually break them, though. With nothing more to think about, your mind trailed back to the events of the previous day.

Shinsou.

The male had been constantly prodding at you for a while now, and it seemed like his hard work had paid off, because you ended up caving in and gave him the information he wanted.
