Just a warning this one is kind of long

Harry woke up early the next morning so that he could write his note to Sirius, he knew he couldn't include anything that could be traced back to Sirius or anything that would give them away.

It took sometime to compose his letter, he kept re-reading it over and over just to make sure nothing seemed suspicious. He would really hate it if he was the reason that something bad happened to Sirius so he was extra careful and eventually finished it.

Harry read it for the last time, scanning over and reading it-
Dear Snuffles,
Hope you're okay, the first week back here's been terrible, I'm really glad it's the weekend. We've got a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Umbridge. She's nearly as nice as your mum. I'm writing because that thing I wrote to you about last summer happened again last night when I was doing a detention with Umbridge. We're all missing our biggest friend, we hope he'll be back soon. Please write back quickly. Best,
Harry

Would an outsider who read this pick up on what he was writing. He couldn't see how they would or know who or what he was talking about. Harry did hope that Sirius picked up on the part about Hagrid and tell them when he might be back.

Harry was finally satisfied with the letter that he had written, he grabbed his cloak and went on his way to the owlery. Thankfully it was early enough that no one was really up and walking the hallways. He had to go the longer way around to the owlery to avoid running into peeves.

The sun was peeking through the windows as he walked down the hall. He felt the warm streaks of sun hit his face as he walked by. He could see the quidditch pitch from where he was walking, he had practice later and he was ready to finally get back out and start playing again.

As he was walking he felt something rub up against his leg, he looked down and realized that it was Ms.Norris. She looked up at him with her lamp like yellow eyes, She looked at him like she knew something was up, then she ran off behind a statue.

"I didn't do anything" Harry yelled, throwing his hands up; he continued walking but at a faster pace now.

Harry made it to the owlery, as he walked in he felt the breeze for all sides of the building engulf him in one big rush. He started looking around the owlery trying to spot Hewing amongst the hundreds of birds.

He finally spotted her and walked over "There you are" He said holding out an arm so she could step on.

"Come on i've got a letter for you" He said waving her down from the place where she sat high up.

She came down and landed on Harry's arm flapping her wings in Harry's face getting some in his mouth. Harry was trying to spit out the feathers in his mouth "Thanks Hedwig, really appreciate it" he said through his teeth. She let out a cherp and nipped Harry's hand.

"Look, now I know this says it for Snuffles on the letter but..." He looked around to make sure no one had entered and whispered "It's for Sirius-ok?" She gave another cherp and held out her foot so that Harry could tie the note to it.

Harry felt the talons unclench from his arm and the heavy weight of the owl was gone; he watched as she flew off until she was just a tiny speck in the sky. Harry moved closer to the edge of the window seal and rested his elbows on it, putting his face in his hands. He shifted his eyesight over the grounds and met Hagrid's hut, Harry let out a sigh he hoped that he would get some answers from Sirius.

Something by the forbidden forest caught his eyes; He saw the thing he saw pulling the carriage; Harry only caught sight of its wings and watched as it went back down into the forest. Harry was surprised to see it just flying around; he started to feel his heart race and felt a rush of wind across his body. Then all of a sudden he heard the owlery door slam open and he turned around quickly and was relieved just to see that only Cho had walked in.

This would be the third time this week he had ran into her and he was still trying to muster up the courage just to ask her out and stop being so awkward around her. But of course as he tried his best not to make it so awkward and actually have a full conversation with her they were interrupted by Filch. He started ranting about how Harry ordered dungbombs and they all started arguing with each other. But ultimately Cho helped Harry out and he was grateful for that.

They carried on a conversation after that and so how Harry hadn't seemed to embarrass himself or get nervous around her, he felt great. At least something good can come out of this horrible week he thought to himself as he walked down the stairs from the owlery heading to the great hall.

Later that evening Harry and Ron had Quidditch practice and Harry couldn't help but smile the whole way down to the pitch. He loved the feeling of being back outside and actually enjoying it for the first time in a while.

"What's got you like that?" Ron asked, smiling at Harry.

"Uh..I'm just ready to be playing again" Harry said, still smiling.

If Harry was being completely honest with himself it wasn't just going back to Quidditch that he was so happy about. It was also the fact that he had held a whole conversation with Cho, he didn't know if she was interested in him or not because she had gone with Cedric to the Yule ball last year.

He pushed his thoughts aside as they walked into the locker room, he didn't need anything to push down his mood and make him have a bad practice.

As Ron and Harry were walking back up to the common room he looked back on practice and replayed what had happened to make it so dreadful.

Firstly, It didn't help that the Slitheryins kept taunting them the whole practice but Fred and George just had to make it worse. They were trying to stop a nosebleed that Ron had caused from hitting Katie in the face while he was passing. Fred and Gorge had tried to stop it with one of their pills but they picked the wrong one and started throwing up instead of stopping her nosebleed. That's when Angelica finally lost her cool and dismissed practice.

Harry saw Hermionie sitting down at one of the tables reading the daily prophet, he walked over and sat down next to her and so did Ron.

"Look at this" Hermionie said with a surprised look on her face while shoving the prophet in his hand.

Harry graded the paper while Ron was trying to look over his shoulder and read it too. Harry looked at the front page and saw Sirius' name on the page and he started to panic a little. He scanned the page with his eyes hurriedly and read the caption, The Ministry of Magic has received a tip-off from a reliable source that Sirius Black, notorious mass murderer . . . blah blah blah . . . is currently hiding in London.

"Lucius Malfoy, I'll bet anything," said Harry in a low, furious voice. "He did recognize Sirius on the platform. . . ."

"What?" said Ron, looking alarmed.

"You didn't say —"

"Shh!" said the other two.

"Keep it down we don't need people hearing us" Harry whispered with a little malice.

"Well I guess Sirius won't be able to go back outside again; Dumbledore did warn him" Hermionie said without looking all that sorry.

Harry looked glumly back down at the prophet but something caught his eye; he ripped it off the page and showed it to both of them.

"Guys look!" Harry said, rapidly pointing at it .

Ron looked down and read Madam Malkin's ad for robes for every occasion ad. "Mate i don't need any robes right now."
