"Nag break na daw si Skye at Sol." Bulong ni Kira saakin habang nag c-code kami dito sa computer lab. Napaka chismosa talaga netong si Kira.

"Paano mo nalaman?" Tanong ko sakanya.

"Kaninang recess, nung nag meeting kaming SSG, di sila nag papansinan, tapos ang awkward talaga nung aura," sagot niya habang tumatawa. Skye was our Student Council President tapos si Sol, yung jowa niya, was the Vice-President. SIla yung tipong ideal couple, both from the Arts Department, laging nasa honors, tapos part pa ng SSG. Imposible talagang nag break sila kasi ang tagal na nilang magkasama, simula pa noong grade 9 kami. Kilalang kilala sila sa univ, kahit nga dito sa science department, eh.

"Grabe ang assuming mo naman, baka nag tampuhan lang." I rolled my eyes at her and went back to what I was doing.

"Hmm, baka nga." She said and then she brought out her phone. Grabe this girl, may assignment kaming due this afternoon sa ICT pero di niya padin sinisimulan. Need daw namin mag develop ng functional na app. So, I decided to make this game about a pug. Sobrang last minute na naming sinimulan ni Kira tong project na 'to, sobrang tambak kasi with other requirements din, exam week na kasi.

I was starting to enter my code na I drafted sa notebook ko kagabi para madali nalang at i-pass ko na din, biglang pumasok si Raigne, my ex. Kira started giggling, puta, parang tanga.

"Mira," tawag ni Raigne. I slowly looked behind me to look at him.

"Bakit?" I asked respectfully but still snapping a bit, I hated seeing him.

"Usap tayo?" He said almost in a way na nag tatanong instead of demanding.

"Kasi?" I asked. I hope he knows that he's wasting my time and I wasn't okay with that.

"Please?" I stood up and Kira looked at me and she silently said, "yie comeback."

"Bakit di mo nalang sabihin dito? Don't want you wasting my time, again," I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes.

"Mom wants to see you at Kuya's death anniversary dinner," he sighed, he looked sincere and I knew he was. Pero puta, "death anniversary dinner??" Pupunta ba ako? His family holds a special place in my heart but, sometimes I wish that pinalaglag nalang siya ni Tita.

"Kelan ulit yun? Sa Friday, 'di ba?" I asked him and he nodded.

"So, you'll go?" He asked. Should I?

"Sige, pero ikaw gumawa nung assignment ko for ICT na needed na mamaya," I smiled. Magamit nga rin 'tong mang-gagamit.

"Okay, we have a deal." He said sternly, reaching his hand out, expecting me to shake it.

"Okay, simulan mo na, thanks! Tara Kira, gutom na ako." I pulled Kira and we went back to the classroom to get our wallet.

"Ang tanga mo bat ka pupunta sa dinner eme nila Raigne?" She asked as we walked sa mag corridor.

"Free foods," I laughed and she hit my arm.

"Nakakahiya kay Tita pati na rin kay Kuya," I told her as we passed by the stairs.

"Eh patay na yun, ano pake niya sayo? Tsaka ung mama naman niya, matanda na, bat di ka nalang kalimutan. Ano bang special sayo." She laughed after saying the last sentence.

"You know tita naman eh, she was happy kasi ako unang jowa ni Raigne, ako din rason kung bakit yan nagka friends."

It was true. Before me, Raigne had no life. Parang ako nag push ng character development niya.

"Sabagay, sige na nga mag balot ka ng food uwi mo sa condo."

We reached the canteen and she ordered tapsilog. I just bought a bottle of water since i'm not hungry and I don't usually bring my water bottle to school. Ayoko lang na may makahulog ulit nung Hydroflask ko.

"You're not hungry?" Tanong ni Kira. I shook my head no. Nakatulala lang ako pinapanood ung mga nag lalaro or practice sa court. Nag ring phone ko, I received a notification from Raigne.

"I'm done with your ICT assignment."

A part of me felt bad. Never ko naman to ginawa sakanya. Kahit nung kami pa, I never cheated my way to the top just because I had a boyfriend who's good at the subject I hated the most. I mean, okay pa ang math and all that pero, ICT? No, thanks. Gagawa ba ako ng robot pag nag pedia ako? I don't think so.

"Baba lang ako Kira, check ko yung assignment." She nodded and I went down. Mabilis talaga 'tong si Raigne. Mabilis sa lahat.

"Here's your task, done and tested. See you on Friday, Miracle."

"Don't call me that, Raigne."
