We all want a rainbow crayon, right?
One that can be used for every little section of the coloring page.
Brown for the hair, Blue for the eyes.
Green for the shirt, to make a disguise.
Black for the pants, to hide the Walnut coffee spills.
Orange for the little birdfeeder in the background.
Red for the veins popping out of our eyes
As we try to not let our emotions fly.
Yellow for the sun, hiding behind the Grey clouds.
Lavender and Orchid for the buds that want to bloom, but are afraid that if they do,
They will be drowned by the rain.
Ruby for the tongue, sticking out at us through the page,
taunting us, provoking us, ridiculing us.
Peach for the skin, with splotches of Crimson, calling out,
"Help me! Save me! Stop me!"
Forest, Cedar, and Sage for the nature around us.
Shadow, Charcoal, and Ash for it is dying around us.
Fuchsia, Magenta, and Bubblegum for our happy times,
Denim, Navy, and Sapphire for our sad times.
We all want a rainbow crayon, right?
One that can be used for every little section of the coloring page.
Colors make other colors,
So how does this one color change itself to other colors?
How can one crayon be all of these colors at once?
It's simple.
It can't.
For no one can truly be a rainbow crayon.
We are all just one crayon
Amongst billions in our box.
We will find other crayons that look like us;
Crayons with the wrong wrapper, pretending to be a color they're not;
Crayons trying to wear every wrapper so that maybe, just maybe,
They can be a rainbow crayon,
So they can be perfect at everything.
But they can't.
They are one color.
You are too.
The only way that you can finish that coloring page is if we work together.
Together, we can create the whole color spectrum.
