It was finally time to see the three apprentices become warriors. SoftKit could hardly keep still excited to see the ceremony, the elders talked about it, but SoftKit herself had never seen one.

FlameStar climbed onto the meeting rock which was named green rock since it was covered in moss.
"All cats old enough to climb the trees of the forest, gather around the green rock for a clan meeting!" FlameStar called confidently not even having to call loudly as all the cats were already beginning to gather.

SoftKit felt herself become tense, trying to force herself to keep still during her excitement to see the apprentices become warriors.

CloverKit was being scolded and held down by their mother while OakWish sat by SoftKit and OakKit.

"One day, you four will become warriors." He meowed softly seeing OakKit was looking at the apprentices longing to be them.

SoftKit placed her tail next to her brother to be encouraging.

"SandPaw, EmberPaw, and MistyPaw step forward." FlameStar called to the three.

SoftKit looked at them closely, SandPaw and EmberPaw were full of excitement, while MistyPaw looked shy and..worried.

"Why is MistyPaw worried?" She asked OakWish.

"Shh!" He said, "FlameStar has started speaking." He scolded before leaning down to SoftKit's ear. "MistyPaw is worried of never being a full warrior, because her parents are VioletPelt and OwlFang, both in our opinion, dead."

SoftKit felt bad for MistyPaw at this, but she didn't dare ask more this moment or she might be punished, after all, she needed to learn to listen.

"I, FlameStar, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down at these three apprentices. They have trained hard to learn your noble code and I make them warriors in their turn." FlameStar meowed looking to the night sky before looking down to the three that were in the center no cats like a moon spotlight. "Do you three promise to uphold the warrior code and to defend your Clan even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." All three replied nodding.

SoftKit felt chills seeing how they suddenly got trapped in the moment, for a few seconds she pictured herself standing there next to her siblings and SilverKit earning their warrior names.

"Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior names." FlameStar continued, and jumped down to be eye level with the three young cats. "EmberPaw,from this day forward you will be known as EmberWing, StarClan honors your wisdom and strength and we welcome you as a full FeatherClan warrior." She meowed and placed her head on top of the warrior's/her daughter's head.

EmberWing licked FlameStar's shoulder to pay respect as cats in the camp called out her new warrior name. then FlameStar turned to SandPaw.

"SandPaw, from this day forward, you will be known as SandBush. StarClan honors your fighting skills and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full FeatherClan warrior." FlameStar placed her muzzle on top of SandBush's head and SandBush licked her shoulder as cats called him by his warrior name.

SoftKit felt her chest tighten as starlight caught her eye.

SplotchedTail was there again next to OakWish watching SoftKit carefully. She didn't seem angry, she just seemed that she had something to say.

SoftKit ignored the she-cat and turned her attention to MistyPaw again, Why does she keep showing up for me? Can't she go to the medicine cats?

FlameStar looked softly at MistyPaw who was all tensed you nervous.
Surely FlameStar would give her a bad name, like MistyOwl.

"MistyPaw, from this day forward, you will be known as MistyHeart." At the mention of her new name the she-cat relaxed as FlameStar continued. "StarClan honors your kindness and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full FeatherClan warrior." FlameStar placed her muzzle on MistyHeart's head and MistyHeart licked her shoulder.

SoftKit began cheering loudly for MistyPaw along with the other kits other then DarkKit, and several warriors chimed in as well as WillowHeart the elder.

But to SoftKit's surprise, several cats weren't, MistyHeart looked around shyly seeing the kits, her eyes seemed to light up.

SoftKit nodded to her, no matter what, we're here for you MistyHeart. She thought for a moment feeling bigger then she actually was, like a cat from another time.

"Our three new warriors will hold their silent vigil starting when the moon is at its peak;" FlameStar continued. "But we also have a apprentice to make. DarkKit, please come step forward." She meowed climbing back up to the green rock.

DarkKit proudly walked up, the black tom looked up at FlameStar his ember eyes brighten.

SoftKit huffed jealously, "he's not much older then us." She meowed quietly.

"SoftKit." Meowed SplotchedTail, "SoftKit we need to talk."

SoftKit looked at the she-cat suddenly becoming worried as the she-cat looked worried as well.

"DarkKit. you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as DarkPaw. Your mentor will be StormCall, I hope StormCall will pass down all he knows on to you." FlameStar meowed to DarkPaw his eyes lightening up more brightly then SoftKit had ever seen.

FlameStar then looked to StormCall, "StormCall, you are ready to take on another apprentice. You are an excellent warrior you have received excellent training from WillowHeart, and you have shown yourself to be Patient and skilled in hunting, You will be the mentor of DarkPaw and I expect you to pass on all you know to DarkPaw."

With this every cat cheered for DarkPaw happy a new apprentice was in their ranks.

"SoftPaw, come here, I won't let anyone see if that's what you wish." SplotchedTail whispered and SoftKit sighed giving in and following the StarClan warrior while her ClanMates are distracted. "I want to be a warrior! Not a medicine cat." SoftKit meowed before SplotchedTail could speak.

"Listen to me very closely SoftKit." SplotchedTail added more firmly, "we will not force your paws down any path, you will be a good warrior or a medicine cat, the choice is yours." She said which caused SoftKit to relax.
"But, I need you to tell FlameStar something for me."

SoftKit nodded, "okay, then I can go back to playing with my siblings like a normal kit?"

SplotchedTail looked softly at her and purred, "of course, you are just easier to reach with your gift." She meowed and then she became serious. "Do not trust the lies of an owl, or of fire for that matter. Secrets will be reveled and that will divide the Clan." And with this she disappeared.

"What?" SoftKit asked, "what does that even mean?!"
