Michael was chuckling quietly while he energetically observed Marie horse playing with Tanu, Raphael, Lumiel, and Adam during their downtime between challenges. The Father and Mother were casually conversing while the collective listened on to their humorous gestures between one another.

Then a memory came to mind as he grew contemplative in deep thought. Marie noticed.

"What's on your mind, baby?" she asked warmly.

He soon shook his thoughts and smiled in return. "Something you might not understand right now, Marie," he stated cryptically.

"Oh, yeah? Try me," she smiled.

He then chuckled and wrapped his arms around her while kissing her on the forehead.

"It's actually an ancient memory about you and me. You may not remember it quite the same way I did because our perceptions are a bit different," he advised.

Just then, the Father responded after overhearing their conversation. He then nodded over to Michael in acknowledgement.

"Why don't you and Marie go into dream state for a bit? Something tells me you and she might share the same perceptions regarding this long lost memory you claim she may not have. You might be surprised, child," winked the Father.

Just then, a song by Mac Ayres began to play from Marie's television. And it was called "Slow Down". A soft ache in Michael's chest began to permeate through him and took a deep breath before smiling again.

"I'll take this as a sign in that case, my beloved," murmured Marie. "I'll also say from now on, we'll consider this beautiful ballad, our song. Is that alright with you, baby?"

His head tilted and leaned forward for a tender kiss from her lips. He then closed his eyes as deep emotion stirred him.

"Hmm...Okay. It's a beautiful song, isn't it?" he admitted.

Starlight shone through their window in magnificent brilliance at that moment while Michael observed in awe that Marie's eyes were twinkling against the lights. He sighed and laid her down with him.

"Yeah. It's beautiful, alright," smiled Adam.

"Ssh...They're having a moment," grinned Tanu quite humorously.

Ignoring the others, Michael began to make his proposal.

"Right now, it's just you and me, Marie. Are you still my beloved?" he asked softly.

"Yes," she answered. "And are you still my beloved?" she inquired with raised brow.

"Always, Marie."

"Yes...always, Michael," she murmured before kissing him once again.

Michael carefully laid atop Marie as he gazed deeply into her eyes. He softly brushed the curly tresses from her face, kissing her all over her cheeks constantly. He soon pressed his lips to her forehead and sighed again.

"You are so very beautiful, Marie. Just like you were when you first were created, do you know that?" he whispered into her ear.

"And you are so very beautiful as well. Do you know that I will always see you as my first love, Michael?" she softly responded.

Tears softly rolled down her cheeks as she gently wiped it, offering it to Michael's lips.

"You are also so beautiful when you cry, Marie," he murmured. She softly smiled in response.

"Then take these tears, Michael. They're tears of longing...because I yearn for you everyday. How do they taste?" she sniffed emotionally.

He then tasted them and took a deep breath of strong emotion from it.
