Chapter 18

3rd Person POV

A long time ago the nations lived together in harmony.

Nations expanded their territories, discovering useful resources along the way. Along with the resources comes the development of technologies. Technologies that couldn't be imagined before, even with their current magic.

Metal carriages not pulled by horses but by their own power moved faster than the fastest of horses. Ships that did not need wind to move traversed the seas. Transportation through air was also invented. Rivaling the altitudes of dragons.

Slowly but surely they paved the forests and cut mountains. Their small houses and turned into buildings. Their large castles transformed into structures seemingly able to pierce the skies by its height.

The nations' technological advancement raised concerns in the heavens. The heavens then sent a messenger warning the people of consequences that may happend if they keep on developing.

The people, however, did not heed the heavens' advice. They kept on developing their technologies. Angered, the heavens sent their angels to stop the people.

What the heavens did not know was that people developed weapons in case of an attack. They shook the heavens with their weapons infused with magic and powered by technologies.

Barrage of attacks from both sides shook the heaven and the earth, earning the era the name "Holy War".

What both sides did not account for, however, was the underworld. The Demon lords of Pride and wrath watched the chaos with glee.

With their power they were able to go to earth secretly. They influenced the nations' leaders to keep on fighting.

10 years after the first confrontation happened, rifts started to open. Demons poured unto the earth and ravaged the people.

Seeing as to how humanity is endangered. The gods and angels formed a truce with the people but there was a catch. "Never develop technology that can tip the scales of balance" to which the humans agreed on.

Forces of heaven and earth collided with the underworld. The Demon lord of wrath and pride couldn't stand their enemies' unification. They released upon the world great hellspawns and legions of demons.

For another 5 years the war raged on. Nations, dwindled. Cities, ruined. Towns, wiped off the map.

Finally the supreme god who holds the universe couldn't bear any more the sufferings of this world. It brought down the might of its power unto the world. Its power, sided with no one, brought forth final destruction. Decimating angels, demons, and humans alike. With its mighty hand it exiled the two demon lords away from this reality and threw them unto the great unknown.

The world's structure forever changed. Gates of both the underworld and heaven was sealed. The demons who were left alive on the earth took to hiding and slowly evolved into monsters. Angels also left on earth evolved into fairies and nature spirits.

Both angels and demons who retained their prowess tried to find their ways back into their realms.

Rumor has it, that one gate was successfully made by the humans who wanted to help the angels but where it connects to is a mystery.

The supreme being left upon the world the 【Arc Library】. It landed on earth like a meteor, creating a crater upon impact. Embedding itself onto the ground.  Along with the library, it left thousands of records and books about the ancient world before the holy war— in memory of the fallen.

With the records come along this book. This book, sent unto parallel universes with one of their respective language, is to ensure the ancient nations' mistakes are not to be repeated.
