“Wake up!” I stood over Niall’s bed as he rolled over onto his stomach groaning loudly. “No, wake up.” I yelled at him as he slowly turned his head towards me, his eyes sleepily opening and looking up at me.
“Babe, I wanna sleep.” He whined croaked out in his morning voice before closing his eyes again and settling into the pillow.
“No, you gotta wake up, it’s already three in the afternoon, and we have the cookout at four!” I told him worried as he opened his eyes back up in defeat.
“Alright, I’m going.” He sighed heavily, looking up at me still.
“Doesn’t look like it.” I mumbled down towards him as he smirked,
“I’m waiting for you to leave, I’m naked under here, unless you know, you want to stay.” He winked at my sleepily as I hit the top of his head, turning on my heels and walking out his bedroom door and closing it behind me. I walked downstairs to be greeted by my dad in the kitchen,
“We’re gonna bring everything down to the beach if you want to help,” he grabbed a tray of burgers, chicken and steak and looked at me seriously, “In other words, help.” He told me while handing me the tray. I slipped on my flip flops by the front door and followed my dad down the pathway only to see at the end a bunch of tables, a cabana, and swimming toys and games; the grill was all ready to go, there were also kayaks, and even a bar, and probably anything else you could imagine to be at a beach party. Our family usually got together on the Fourth of July and had a party, but never anything like this, so this was pretty new to me. I walked over to the grill setting the tray on the side and turning around to see Niall walking towards us in his purple v-neck and dark grey shorts. His hair was messy, as if he just brushed it and swept it to the side, I don’t even think he took shower, but either way he looked cute. He smiled at my dad and continued walking towards me, my dad watching us out of the corner of my eye. Niall came up to me and kissed me on the cheek quickly,
“Happy now? I’m even outside.” He giggled as his face lingered close to mine while he looked down at me. I watched my dad’s expression change to confusion as I pushed Niall away slightly, not wanting him to try anything else. “What?” he asked worried as I shook my head,
“Did you even shower? And my dad is watching.” I whispered as he rolled his eyes dramatically at me.
“I did last night. And he’s your dad; he should probably know you like me anyways.” He sighed while turning around,
“Niall, don’t you do it!” I yelled after him as he walked up to my dad, I chased behind as I stood next to them covering my eyes, peaking at them between my fingers.
“I like your daughter, and I hope that’s okay.” He blurted out. A smirk formed on my dad’s lips as he placed a hand on Niall’s shoulder.
“The real question is, does she like you?” he laughed as I covered my mouth instead muffling my giggle as Niall gave my dad a sarcastic what-do-you-think look,
“I believe so.” He responded as my dad looked over at me,
“Do you like him?” my dad questioned as I shrugged,
“Eh, he’s alright.” I chuckled as my dad did so as well. “I do, I do.” I finally admitted after a moment as my dad shrugged,
“I just figured you should know so you didn’t feel like we were keeping anything from you.” I watched as my dad turned to face Niall once again,
