Chapter 16

"Please forgive me, Nagahama-sama!!" The guy who beat Hirate up plead all of his might, trying to win back the trust from the Empress. Neru don't resort to violence, she depises violence more than any others but what he did to the three guys is not physical beat up but mentally.

The three guys are in front of Neru, kneeling themselves to death just to show their utmost sincere apology towards the Empress.

"Give us another chance, Nagahama-sama! I promise to serve you and the town with more loyalty! I will change my ways, I promise you!" The guy continue his pleads but everytime he plead, his resolve that the Empress will forgive him weakens and that's because of how the Empress just look at him coldly.

No emotions, pure blank.

"Who are you to talk before me?" Neru speak up coldly causing for the other three guys to bow down their heads in an instant, because of the fear that they felt earlier they forgot one of the rules when you're in front of an Empress and that is to never talk unless the Empress ask you a question.

"You are in no place to ask a favor, know your place. You should serve your people and what did you do? Beat the hopeless girl up until she could not get up. You call yourself a loyal servant?" Neru said in a low note that could bring shivers down to anyone's spine including Fuyuka.

"We accept the punishment that our actions did. We deeply apologize, Nagahama-sama. We will repent!" The guy plead as he continue to bow his head on the floor, seeing the sincerity Neru glance at one of the Nagahama Head Guard and signals to do whatever they want to do with the three guys.

The Head Guard that handle all the guards is very pissed, silently killing the three guys on his mind because of how they humiliate his name to the Empress.

Neru continue to stare at the guys for a few minutes to know how sincere their apology is by bowing their heads longer before she decided to spun her heel around and leave the chamber to visit Hirate.

"Fuyuka, please take care of the business here. Thank you." Neru said as Fuyuka just nodded her head in understanding, Neru close the chambers door before she took a deep sigh in frustration.

Neru walk her way towards the clinic as she keep on thinking about how is Hirate's condition now, she can't herself but to be worried about the girl.

"I'm really good now, promise doc." Hirate said as she raise her right hand to tell the doctor that she's really fine, the doctor just chuckle and nodded because of how persistent Hirate is.

"Base on your face, clearly not." Dr. Yonetani said while chuckling as she thought that the girl in front of her is quite stubborn considering how beaten up she is, Yone thought that Hirate might be used getting beat up already.

"Really, Yonetani-san! It's really fine, its just bruises. Rina already treat it earlier." Hirate said as she give Dr. Yone a reassuring smile, Yone just shook her head and put the medicine at the bed side table.

"Well then, drink this once a day in a week 'kay? Take care, Hirate-san." Yone said as she fix her things and leave the room, Hirate smile and grab one tablet to drink for today and lay back down. The beating didn't even scare her and that's because she's used to it, it's not a big deal for Hirate but to those people who have love and care for the girl, it's pretty much a very big deal.

As Neru arrive at the clinic room, she took a deep breath to gather herself and prevent the nervousness to take over her body. Neru can't believe how when it comes to Hirate, she's not on her usual cold self. Earlier, she was giving cold remarks to a former guard and the next second she's standing in front of the clinic room shaking her nervousness away like it's going to be her first time seeing Hirate. It makes Neru laugh of how Hirate is the only capable to bring out her soft side.

Neru took a deep sigh once again before she open the door to reveal Hirate at the mattress with a blanket wrap around her body, Hirate is sleeping. Neru giggle on how Hirate looks so soft and fragile at this moment, Neru just wants to stare and admire the girl right now but she can't because Hirate's dark brown locks stares deeply at her eyes meaning that Hirate woke up.

"How is your feeling? Is it already fine?" Neru asked immediately, trying to act like she didn't stare at the girl like a complete creeper. Hirate chuckle and tried to sat up, Neru smile and take a seat next to the girl.

"I'm actually fine. I'm used to the pain so it's not really a big deal." Hirate said as she laugh it off when a sudden pain went straight to her limbs, she crouch out of pain with a bunch of curses causing for Neru to hold her shoulder out of worry.

"Are you really sure?! Did Dr. Yonetani-san did not look thoroughly?" Neru asked in annoyance, Hirate chuckle and pay Neru's head to calm the girl down.

"Hey, don't worry. It's really fine, I just laugh suddenly and my wound got surprise because of it." Hirate explain, Neru sigh in relief and give Hirate a smile to tell the girl that she'll try not to worry too much.

"Don't laugh suddenly, okay? You've got wounds all over your body, it's really unpleasant to look at. It's making me sad and frustrated." Neru said, Hirate tries to hide how surprise she is at this moment. Neru usually don't express what she really felt but today seems like an exemption, Neru is really open about what she felt, everything that her mind says, she'll say it if its Hirate.

That's clearly the reason why Neru is expressive of her emotions and that's because she's telling them to Hirate. One of the reason as well is because Neru is actually comfortable with Hirate.

"I always forget it whenever you're here. I enjoy your company so much, so much that I tend to forgot." Hirate said, completely oblivious of the fact that she just make the cold bishojo blush.
