"WAKE UP FLORENCE BLOODY HELL." She was shaken awake by Ginny who had Flo's quidditch gear in her hands. Flo shot up out of bed and scrambled to get the red quidditch robes on.

She eyed up the plate that was piled high with food and she began wolfing it down while Ginny braided her hair. "How late am I?!" She said as the two ran down the corridor. "Let's just say they're already ready to catch the snitch." Ginny parted ways with Flo as the white haired girl skid into the changing rooms.

"Good godric we were about to play without you." Oliver said as she noticed the team all mounted up on their brooms. She mounted her nimbus 2001 and they exited the changing rooms and the stands erupted in a loud cheer.

A stitch of lighting cracked across the sky as Florence waved to her brother who gave her a cheer. The game had started quickly and she chased the quaffle and shot it quickly through the goal.

She watched Harry fly upwards as she ducked under a bludger and she flew quickly forwards toward a Quaffle. Lee was commentating the game and she heard him flirting with her through the stands.

Grabbing the Quaffle again, Florence shot it through the goal earning another load of points for Gryffindor. Doing the same again, just before shooting the Quaffle she noticed Harry falling from the sky and she dove on her broom to try and grab him. Her hand reached out for his robes and she grabbed him but his body weight just dragged Flo down faster as she fell to the floor with him using her as a pillow. Her body hit the floor with a thud and she felt her broom snap from underneath her and she groaned as she felt her leg was definitely broken. Florence had definitely hit her head because all she could hear was yellow. Until everything went black.

Flo woke up to a cold hand holding hers and some talking. The cold hand from before wiped the stray hairs from her face and caressed her cheek softly before the hands owner sighed. The scratching of quill on paper is what woke her up fully and her eyes focused properly. She sat up to see her brother angrily scribbling on a piece of parchment.

"What's going on?" Her voice was raw and croaky and her face was boiling hot. "Welcome back to the land of the living Flora. You hit your head badly, Potter took you out as well as him." She took a sip of water that Draco held up for her. "Broken broom, father isn't too happy." She groaned.

Noticing she wasn't feeling any worse Florence requested to leave the hospital wing. Madame Pomfrey quickly dismissed her and she made her way to the Gryffindor common room. She mumbled the password and walked in where everyone was sat. "Hey." She said and the twins raced over to her and sandwiched the girl in a hug.

"Bloody hell Flo." She heard Fred say as she wrapped her arms around the boys. "I'm sorry, got a god complex." She mumbled and walked up to her dorm. "I'm gonna get some sleep."

She stalked upstairs and heard someone calling her name. Florence. Florence. Although was it someone she had never heard before.

Her eyes darted around the dorm and she saw   nobody and decided it was the tiredness creeping up on her.

A few weeks passed and nothing too important happened apart from Flo landing herself a detention for telling snape he needed to wash his hair.

She trudged around the forbidden forest with Hagrid and a few other first years. "Go find that bloody dog of mine fang!" The man called out and Flo followers to where the large boar hound went.

    She heard it again. Flo.

    Florence.

    Flora

She followed the voice deeper into the forest and she saw a black egg sitting in the moonlight. It enticed her, called for her almost. Florence.

Florence knew it was a dragon egg, she had visited a few dragon shows with her father as a child and always felt a pull towards them.

She had read countless books about how regular witches or wizards had connections with Merlin and dragons. Flo knew all about how she was a parselmouth because she spoke it in her sleep and allegedly scared the magic out of a pureblood witch who requested to switch dorms.

It was the egg that called for her, it basked in the moonlight. The girl picked it up and the calling stopped, she felt warm inside and complete. She ran her hands against the callous scales of the warm egg and it almost purred.

She walked back to Hagrid, almost in a trance with Fang at her side and her eyes trained onto the egg. She wandered back to Hagrid and he watched her with the egg and he knew.

"Florence, pass me the egg." The first years had already gone. "I'll take care of it for now. Go and speak to Dumbledore." He said sternly and the girl scurried back to the castle with a thousand thoughts running through her head.

She made it to Dumbledore's study and went up the stairs. "Professor. I found a dragon egg." His eyes widened and he let the girl explain. "It called for me."

A Phoenix landed on its perch with a note attached to its leg. Dumbledore's eyes trailed over it and he mumbled something and hummed in approval.

"You're a Parselmouth. But you're also a dragon tongue. You can speak old Valyrian and connect with the dragons, these traits are given to the direct descendant of Merlin himself who was a dragon lord. Hagrid informs me that the dragon egg you acquired had been perched there specifically for you, Florence. A Valyrian Blazedart. The last of its kind, there are three other eggs waiting in my study for the right person and I believe they've been waiting for you, Miss Malfoy."
