AMELIAS POV
Arizona got paged into work so I was taking Mason with me to go pick up Sofia from school. Tomorrow Mason goes to daycare, we haven't told him about it yet, and I'm really scared he's going to throw a tantrum or refuse to go. Maybe because Sofia likes it so much he'll see it isn't bad. I'm just hoping he'll go.
"Mason are you ready to go get Sofia?" I smiled.
"Sofia coming home?" He smiled.
"Yup," I said, "she's almost done with school."
"School?" He said, "Me do school?"
"Well you're too little for school," I said, "maybe next year."
"Oh," he frowned.
"But we can go see Sofia's school when we pick her up today," I said.
"Okay," he smiled.
"Let's put your shoes on buddy," I said.
"Green!" He said and pointed to the bucket of sneakers.
"You want your green shoes today?" I smiled.
"Yes mommy," he said sweetly. I put his shoes on for him and picked him up as we walked out to the car. I buckled him in his car seat and drove over to Sofia's school. I parked and unbuckled Mason so we can walk inside together.
"Mommy," he complained.
"What's up bud?" I asked.
"Me uppy," he said. I picked him up and he smiled as we walked into the elementary school lobby. After a few minutes Sofia came walking down the hallway.
"Hi Mama," she smiled, "Hi Mason." I smiled at the fact that she called me mama.
"Hi honey how was school today?" I asked as we walked in the parking lot.
"It was good," she said.
"School?" Mason said.
"That's right," Sofia said, "I was at school."
"What do at school?" Mason asked.
"What do I do at school?" Sofia chuckled. Mason nodded.
"We learn stuff. Like read books and do math," Sofia explained.
"Cool," Mason said. We got to the car and I buckled Mason in and started driving home. The three of us got out and I unlocked the front door.
"Mama is mommy at work?" Sofia asked.
"Yeah," I said, "she should be home for dinner."
"Okay," Sofia said, "can you help me with my homework?"
"Yes of course sweetheart," I said.
"Me help too?" Mason asked.
"Sure Mason," I smiled. Sofia put her bag down and we sat down at the kitchen table. I put Mason in his highchair and gave him some Cheerios to keep him happy.
"So what do we have?" I asked.
"Math," she said, "I don't know how to do some of the division ones."
"Okay let see," I said, "do you have a pencil?"
"Yeah it's right here," she said and opened her pencil case.
"Alright let's see," I said and we started working on her homework together.
ARIZONAS POV
I unlocked the front door and Sofia was playing on her iPad.
"Mommy!" Sofia smiled and ran over and hugged me.
"Hey how was school munchkin?" I asked.
"Good," Sofia said.
"Where's mama?" I asked.
"She's in the kitchen," Sofia said.
"Thanks honey," I said and kissed her head. I walked into the kitchen and Amelia was making dinner while Mason watched from the high chair.
"Mommy!" Mason smiled. Amelia looked over her shoulder and smiled at me.
"Hey buddy," I smiled.
"Hey babe," she said softly as I walked over and wrapped my arms around her waist from behind.
"Hey," I smiled. She kissed me and I smiled. Coming home to our family was the best feeling in the world.
