BLAKE'S POV

"I just saw these articles that say that we're business associates working on a sports villa blah blah blah", I said to her through the phone. "I had my publicist put them out yesterday", Rue said. "Really? Why? I thought you wanted it low key", I said as my mind flooded with confusion. "Because I'm trying to give us a reason to be seen together", she sighed and I could immediately sense that there was more to it than she was letting on but I decided to save it for later. "Ouuu so you want us to be seen together", I said trying to cheer her up but instead she replied curtly, "I'm working, bye" and then, she hung up. "She knew about them?", Tyler asked from across the table we were eating from. I looked outside the glass windows of the exquisite restaurant Tyler and I decided to have lunch. It's his off day so we decided to have some bro time since he's been really busy with work these past weeks. "Yeah. Apparently, she had her publicist do it", I said in deep thought as I rested my chin on my hand. "She probably had a good reason for it", he shrugged as he drank his tea. "Yeah", I muttered before sighing and picking up my tea.

Tyler's phone rang and he placed it to ear, "Hello". I watched closely as his reaction switched into one of worry and I immediately knew that our bro day was off. "Okay, have Kennedy start with the suction. I'll be there as soon as I can", he said before hanging up and looking up at me with an apologetic smile, "I have to go. Emergency surgery". "But it's your off day", I whined as he pulled out some cash and placed them on the table. "This should cover us. See you later bud", he smiled as he stood up and rushed out. I sighed as I stared at the money on the table before looking outside the window to see Tyler getting in the car and driving off.

Since I'm now legitimately jobless. Sam's busy at work, she has this important client coming over today, I think Rihanna or so. Tyler has his emergent surgery, Jack's gone back to Vancouver to shoot a scene, Rue's at work and she's most probably going to kill me if I storm into her office and Jess is not in the states at the moment which leaves me completely alone and useless.

I had first decided to take a walk around town and wander around but I started getting too much attention drawn towards me so I decided to take a cab. We've been driving around for the past 30 minutes and I've been staring outside the window zooming off from time to time till we started to approach a familiar environment. Now I suddenly feel like running and there's not a lot of people in this area so I should be good. "Stop here", I said to the driver. He pulled over and I got down, I gave him a huge tip cause Bless his soul for being ever patient with me.

As the car drove off, I stood straight to stare at the road ahead. I walked down the path and stared at the trees before stopping at a point.

"We're here", I said as I stopped the car and she immediately looked around excited to see where we would be running. I got out of the car and she followed suit with a confused face, "Are we playing how to get away with murder?". I chuckled and put out my hand for her to hold, "Don't worry, I promise you that I would donate all of your stuff to Goodwill when you're gone". She stood hesitantly looking at me and the mass of trees ahead. I laughed before I walked up to her and grabbed her hands tightly, "I'm not trying to kill you, Evans. Let's go".

I walked into the path, past the trees into the beautiful field. I breathed in, feeling the wind blow through my hair. I haven't been here in 7 years and truthfully, it had changed a lot. The grasses were longer and the tree was definitely bigger. I smiled and sat under the tree, looking to the empty space beside me.

"You look like you ran into a cat", I said as we sat under the tree. "I just look sweaty, tired and my hair is all over the place. What about that makes you think I ran into a cat", She made a face as she sat beside me. I grabbed her hands and intertwined our fingers absentmindedly as I smiled at me, "Remember the other day, when a lady with her cat passed and you kept pushing us further away from them insisting that the cat was growling at you even though cats don't growl". She rolled her eyes at me, "He really was, though. But why are you bringing that up". She rolled her hair up in a bun while I continued teasing her, "Don't worry". She frowned at me, understanding what I meant. I laughed still playing with her fingers which she immediately removed from mine and started walking off. "Hey! I was kidding", I shouted as I stood to follow her. I finally caught up with her and wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close to me, "Come on, you can't stay angry at me". She turned and smiled at my puppy hazel eyed face, "You're right, I can't". Then she leaned up and brought her lips to mine.
