sophia smiled at her phone before swinging her backpack onto her back. "bye mum, bye dad. i'm heading to school now!" the girl yelled as she shut the door and got out her airpods from her pocket. "what the fu-" she sighed in defeat as she looked up at the cloudy sky that was dropping cold drops of water onto her face.

"its raining." sophia said with a sigh as she reached inside the house and grabbed an umbrella. she placed her airpods back into her hoodie pocket so she could enjoy the sound of the rain hitting the pavement.

the dark haired girl pulled her blue hood over her sloppy bun that was tied loosely at the back of her head as she stopped at the start of the large bridge.

sophia frantically typed, interrupted by a loud dramatic sigh from behind her.

"what the actu- oh hey bestie!" sophia smiled. tommy looked at the girl, rolling his eyes as he held back a smile. sophia closed her umbrella and stepped under tommy's. "what the hell are you doing?" the blond asked sophia who just pulled out her airpods, handing one to tommy. "well, it would be annoying as shit if i just walked next to you with a huge umbrella and you're a fucking giant so i can just use you and your height." sophia simply explained as she looped her arm around his. tommy sighed again but smiled slightly at his new friend.

it had only been about two weeks since the hamilton movie night and they have only gotten closer, hanging out whenever they could, texting all the time, even working on school projects together.

'female energy, part 2' played through the pairs shared airpods as they walked, tommys hands tucked into the pockets of his blue puffer jacket and sophia on her phone as they walked. "if i run into anything i will fucking kill you." sophia said in a sing songy voice as they walk, tommy laughed. "fine."

"hey dickhead, were here." tommy stated, folding the umbrella as they approached the entrance to the school. "yeah, yeah, whatever." sophia smiled.

tommy and sophia both opted for spots in the bed of the class so they could share music and snacks while the teacher did his boring lecture. "what did you bring today?" tommy asked with a stupid smile, "i got the goldfish, monster munch, and chocolate bars." sophia whispered, playing along with his stupid joke as if they were dealing drugs. "i'll take the goldfish." tommy whispered. sophia stifled a laugh, using a cough to coverup continue the act. "what do i get in return?" tommy carefully unzipped his backpack, pulling out a cherry coke. "deal." she nodded, handing him a bag of goldfish and getting her soda in return.

"that class was shit." tommy said as they opened the door back into the clouded world. "at least it stopped raining." sophia shrugged. 'throw it back' by proleter playing from tommys playlist which they switched to halfway through the class since their music taste was pretty similar anyways.

the pair cracked jokes as they walked back to their houses. "wait, is that a park?" sophia asked, looking ahead at a small park in the distance. "whatever you're thinking of doing, don't" tommy said with a laugh. sophia only turned to him with a smile before taking off. "race ya!" she yelled as she laughed, her air forces hitting the now dark gray sidewalk with loud splashes as she ran through the puddles of collected rain water.

"not fair!" tommy yelled as he ran to catch up to her. "what the fuck?" sophia yelled as she turned back to see tommy getting closer to her. the wordless melody of 'dawn amble' by luvbird playing as the two friends ran.

sophia panted as she made it to tommy. "beat ya." tommy said cockily. "only cause of your long ass legs." sophia said breathlessly, letting a laugh slip past her lips.

sophia tossed her backpack under the canopy the gazebo provided before running towards the swings. "are you insane?" tommy asked with wide eyes as sophia sat on the swing. "maybe a little, come on its fun." tommy scoffed in disbelief. "why do you have such sad songs on your playlist?" sophia asked as 'fool' by cavetown rang through their ears. "i don't know, they sound good." the boy shrugged, slowly making his way towards the swings.

"this is like a movie scene." sophia thought out loud as tommy sat on the swing next to her. "a little." tommy agreed. sophia began to swing as high as she could, kicking her legs back and forth as if she were a kid again. the now upbeat part of the sad tune playing as sophia closed her eyes as the harsh wind hit her face. "we're like the fucking main characters right now." sophia said with an approving nod, tommy laughed.

the pair were enjoying sitting in silence, enjoying the almost euphoric atmosphere the park and music provided under the clouded sky. "you've got to be shitting me." sophia said as she felt her hair begin to get soaked with the rain.

"run!" tommy yelled with a laugh, the friends hopped of the swings and broke into a run. they grabbed their backpacks as they ran past the gazebo.

the pair stopped running once they got to the bridge, where they were covered by the roof of it. they looked at each other as they tried to catch their breath. "just our luck." tommy said. 'wait-" sophia said before listening to the current song playing 'crystal dolphin' by engelwood playing as the pair looked at each other. they both bursted out in laughter at the timing of the memey song before pulling out their umbrellas out for the rest of the walk.

"well, see you later tommy. i should make you watch the harry potter movies oh my god." sophia said. tommy laughed, 'sure, wanna do that project we have to do this week?" he asked. "sounds poggers, tell betty i said hi." sophia smiled as tommy rolled his eyes.

look at tommy and sophia being main characters as if this isn't a fanfic strictly about them 😍😍 anyways thought this chapter was kinda cute cuz it sounds so pog. i'm about to update the dream book but first i'm gonna make another cup of tea.
