Player by Choice, Manager by Default

Part 5

You wake up the next morning just in time to hear your brothers leave. You stay in bed for another ten minutes then decide to stretch out and go make yourself some breakfast. Once your breakfast is over you go back to your room put some music and on and start reading some manga you had order since you do not want to do your homework. After a few hours of reading, you hear your phone go "bing", you reach out to it and look where the notification comes from. It is from your student account and it says that one of your mark is posted, obviously you click on it, log in your account and go see that mark. You see it's a 94% mark and it is from your essay regarding the witches in Salem and there is a note (from your teacher) attached to it which says:

                              Hi Y/N-chan,

                             I am here to let you know that I was deeply impressed by your essay that I decided to send it to the First Year Academic Essay Contest, which is a contest held nationally for high schoolers in their first year all across the nation. As you read it in the title it is for student with amazing academic success and it rates essays three times a year (one for each term). Therefore, I am here to congratulate you for earning the first spot for this term and your winning price is a scholarship at the well-known academic-wise as well as sport-wise Shiratorizawa Academy. You can come to my office after you see this so we can talk about the formalities. Office number N213.

You look at your phone shooketh to the chore. You knew you had great academic skills but to the point of winning a national title for your essay, not really. At this point so many thoughts are going through your head, for instance, you can leave your shitty school and go to a new one where nobody knows you are related to the twins, at the same time you think about living without Osana to your side which would be awful. You also have a thought for your brothers even though you annoy each other you love them to the moon and back. You have no clue what to do, so you decide to do what every girl would do, you call your best friend.

          -Ohayou, answers Aki-chan

          -BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTCCCCCHHHHH!!!!!!, you yell through the phone.

         -Duuuuuuuuude spill the TEEEEEEAAAAA!!!!!!, she answers by yelling even more.

         -Hahha okok, you are not going to believe this BUT I was offered a scholarship to Shiratorizawa because I won the first spot for the First Year Academic Essay Contest, because Shiratorizawa Academy is the one who created the contest. Anyways, my point is I could go to a school where nobody knows that I am related to the twins!!, you exclaim happily.

       -I bet it would be a hundred time less annoying than here with the squealing seals, she says, but where exactly is Shiratorizawa Academy?

      -I have no clue, I didn't even look it up because I was so excited, wait let me check.

You open your laptop and search Shiratorizawa Academy and discover that this marvelous school is located in Miyagi, of all places. It is clearly not a prefecture close to yours since you are in the Hyōgo prefecture.

     -Soooo..?, questions Osana.

     -Well.. it's in Miyagi, it's in FUCKING Miyagi. How am I supposed to get there? Should I rent an appartement? How long would it take by train? Should I start my driving lessons, or should I go by bus... you mumble to yourself.

     -Y/N-CHAAAAAN, she interrupts you, while you were mumbling to yourself and look up their web page and guess what, you don't need to worry about the transport, she explains.

     -How come?, you answer.

     -Because they have a dorms dumb ass, she says quietly.

Now both of you are coming to the realisation that if you go to Shiratorizawa you won't see each other during school. Then Osana breaks the akward silent and says:

     -You should go.

     -But what about us, what about volleyball, what will my brothers say, you reply sadly.

     -I will always be there for you no matter what, she answers calmly, as for volleyball I know the boys club is amazing they just need you to in the girls club to make it equal and lastly for your brothers I know they want the best for you so they will follow your decision.

You start crying about what Osana just said and answer:

     -I wi.. will al-always b-b-be there for y-you too, you reply sobbing.

You hear a whistle in the background and Osana says:

     -You should really go see Ayama Sensei for all the informations and we'll celebrate when I come back but I got to go now practice is starting.

     -W-will do, you answer.

She hungs up and leave you crying like a baby but feeling relief that you won't have to deal with the people at your school anymore. You proceed to answer your teacher.

                          Hi Ayama Sensei,

                         I would like to thank you for sending my essay and earning me the first spot. I am really looking forward to it and will come early in tomorrow so we could go over the formalities.

You click send and close your laptop. After learning all of this you get this sudden academic mood, therefore you procced to do all of your homework. You are about to finish writing the last conclusion on your chemistry lab paper, then you hear your brothers coming in so you run (walk somehow fast because of the splint) down stairs and jump in their arms screaming "I AM GOING TO SHIRATORIZAWA".

They catch you, and you all fall down. As they get back up, they ask you what this is about. To which you answer:

       -We had an essay to write in class and since mine was so well written Ayama Sensei decided to send it to the , and guess what.. I won first fucking place!!!!!

      -Congrats sisi, says Osamu

      -But what does that have to do with you going to Shiratorizawa, adds Atsumu.

       -Oh right. Since the contest was created by Shiratorizawa's school board, the winner gets a scholarship to the school, you answer joyfully.

       -Sugoi, they exclaim

       -But what would mom and dad say, Atsumu asks.

        -They are barely even here; I mean the cleaning lady is almost here more than them and she comes only twice a week. I understand that they work a lot but if there is any paper to sign could you guys please sign them. I am not waiting 3 business days just for an answer from them.

       -We'll see, Osamu answers.

       -I am going to go see Ayama Sensei early tomorrow for the formalities so I can walk with you to practice tomorrow morning.

       -Sounds like a plan, says Atsumu.

You then head back to the room head empty and heart light. You go take a quick shower and go straight to bed because you have to wake up earlier tomorrow to go talk to your teacher.
