Julie, Y/N and the Phantoms

🎶Chapter Ten🎶

I joined Julie when I saw Carrie and Nick had left the conversation they were having with Julie, there was no way I was going to talk to Carrie. My sister looked at her phone and sighed. It was already 9:15, the guys should have been here by now.

'Keep it funky Y'all!' Flynn yelled to entertain the crowd even more. In a corner I saw the new kid who played the cello slide closer to a girl who was sitting on the bench pretty far away from him.

Julie was walking in circles, it annoyed the hell out of me, and it took me all my strength to Notting tell her to stop. I just sat down. We sat there for a couple of minutes when Flynn decided to join us again.

'I can only stall for so long. It's eleven o'clock, I think you should just play by yourself, I mean hologram or no holograms, you'll be amazing.' Flynn was starting to feel a little desperate, and honestly, so was I.

'Flynn you saw us the other day! We can't play without them. They'll be here, they have to.' Julie said, but not without fear in her voice. Flynn tapped her watch and walked back to her spot.

'Looking good bobcats!' She yelled. And the crowd started cheering again.

'Issues?' We heard behind us. It was Nick, apparently he snuck away from Carrie.

'Always, the machine won't work' Julie said, but I saw she just had the plug in her hand and I prayed Nick wouldn't notice it.

Nick picked up the box and started looking at it.

'You don't have to!' Julie said, hastily putting her hand on the box. But Nick kept looking at it. After a couple of seconds he found the wire. He followed it and surprisingly it stopped in Julie's hand.

'Here's the problem...' he said, he put the plug in and pushed on the on button. And as I knew it would, it shot on and Nick, who thought they would happen, stood up and said,

'That is unless...you didn't want it plugged in.' He chuckled and put his hand out for Julie to grab it.

'Hey, don't let this crowd freak you out, what I saw, last time you played was insane, you got this.'

They smiled at each other, I knew Julie had a crush on him, and it had probably gotten worse since he started talking to her.

But then he said, 'I knew you had it in you' and he walked on the stage.

'Nick stop!' I tried to reason, but he didn't care and went straight for the microphone Flynn had in her hands.

'Hey everybody! We fixed the hologram thing! Who wants to see a show? Come on!' He yelled and the crowed started cheering again. I mentally facepalmed knowing this wouldn't en well...

'Now, give it up.... For JULIE AND THE PHANTOMS!' I was shocked, but walked on stage with a Julie who took the microphone from Nick who gave her an exited laugh, he then ran backstage and Julie was left to talk.

'Uh' she said.

'Hi' everybody laughed.

'So here's the thing, even though we got the machine fixed, thanks to Nick...' everybody started cheering for
R Nick.

'I can't seem to link up with the guys. WiFi Am I right? I'm sorry but, We're gonna have to cancel' the crowd gasped.

'Uhhhm anybody know the heimlich? Julie's chocking' Carrie said walking on stage. The crowd laughed at her comment, I got so angry of her!

'Only one way to save this dance, who wants to see dirty candy?' She asked the people who were standing in the gym. They all started cheering, but Flynn broke a button.

'Oops, knobs broken' she said

'Okay, two can play this game, party at my house!' And everybody left.

I went to sit on the ground in front of the stage and I saw the new kid starting to dance with that girl, I smiled to myself.

'Little man has game!' I hearD Flynn say to Julie and I laughed.

The rest of the night Julie, Flynn and I sat on the ground, popping all the balloons that hung there for decoration.

But I wasn't one to wallow on sad stuf, so I inhaled the helium that was in the balloon and started singing bright with the beautiful voice that gave me.

The girls laughed and tried some too. But before we knew it we were on the ground again.

'Girls, we are ready to rock this dance!' We heard, it was Reggie. He and the boys just appeared out of nowhere.

'Which is clearly over...' He went on, the boys sighed and then spotted us.

I stood up trying to look as cold as possible. 'Look...ze are so, so sorry that we bailed on you' Luke said

'Yeah I mean, the night really got away from us' Alex agreed.

'Just please tell me it had nothing to do with you getting back at Carrie's dad.' Julie said and I scoffed, I didn't think that mattered.

They denied it with high pitched voices, which made it obvious they were lying.

'Seriously? You're lying to me?' Julie asked like she didn't believe it.

'Look it was something that we needed to do.' Alex said.

Luke started saying something but I didn't care anymore, I just exploded.

'I don't know with you're doing Julie, but I'm leaving, I don't care what they will do to trie and make things better, for me this band is over.'

'Wh- Y/N?' Luke asked

'What Luke?! I knew this would happen, you are just to selfish to come to a stupid dance, I didn't even really want to come, but it really meant something to me, we were supposed to have fun at this dance and play together, but instead you go and pull something like this! I'm out!' I ran to my house, I was so mad, I didn't know why, but I was...
