Chapter 12

Sarah's pov

After I was done with yelling, my mom just looked to the ground while my dad just crossed his arms and gave me a shocked look because I've never yelled at my parents before.

My mom was the first to speak...  more like squeak " Sarah can you not talk to us like that? We're still your parents" her voice sounded like she was trying to gather some courage at the end

I just ignored what she said and gave my dad an expectant look

He cleared his throat noisily and started "Well Sarah before I explain, I'm just going to put this out there. This is happening whether you like it or not" I just kept quiet and gave him a daring look, I really wanted to know the reason for all this insanity

"I'm just gonna make this as simple as possible, our company is bankrupt and the Morgan empire are the only people that can help us" he said

"So where do I come in?" I asked with both my eyebrows raised

"The Morgan family was willing to do a merger with any company that has a daughter that suitable to marry their son and also has a good business deal. We didn't have a chance because of our company's financial status but I submitted our proposal because it was our last resort but we somehow out of the odds got chosen. And that's where you come in, you were our only suitable daughter" my dad finished

"But I'm eighteen and he's sixteen and this is wrong. Also, was this what  you both were arguing about the other day?" I asked

"Yes dear, but we really have no choice" my mom finally spoke

"Come on there is always a choice and this... whatever this is is not happening ever!"

"Sarah, I'm not going to argue with you. You are getting married to him on his sixteenth birthday and that's it!" My dad said in a hard voice

"So he is even fifteen years old!!!" I shouted

"He'll be sixteen and that's all that matters" My dad said

"That doesn't help at all! He's still a minor" I reply with grinding my teeth

"Sarah, I'm done having this conversation with you" my dad said dismissing me

I stood up and stormed towards Joseph's room. Entering without knocking I yelled "Why didn't you tell me!!!"

He was so startled he fell from his chair, it would have been hilarious if I wasn't so angry.

"Sarah, what do you mean?" He grunted while standing

"You know exactly what I mean!" I said giving him a hard look

"they told you" he said sighing

"Yes they did" I replied

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I tried to stop it but I couldn't do anything about it. I'm so useless, I can't even protect my kid sister!" He said dejectedly sitting hard on his bed

I sighed and sat down on the bed and leaned my head on his shoulder

"Don't beat yourself up, I'll figure this out" I said in quiet determination. After saying that, I stood and walked out of his room

I was initially heading to my room then decided to go to my sister's room

Walking into her room once again without knocking on her door I saw her sitting on her bed with her head down holding a sleeping Hope in her arms

Folding my arms I said "So why have you been avoiding me" her head snapped up. She jumped a little bit, gasping in shock. Wow! I'm really into shocking people today!

"I've not being avoiding you, what are you talking about?" She said trying to play dumb

I gave her the 'really?' look. She sighed and said "I'm sorry, I didn't know what to say to you so, I thought it was better to stay away"

Shaking my head, I walked towards her and said with all seriousness"I understand, I said this to Joseph and I'm saying it to you now... I will figure this out"

After saying that, I walked out her room and into mine, slammed my room door behind me and layed on my bed.

"I'm going to kill Daniel" was the last thing I said before deciding to sleep

Next day***

I stormed into school very early today with the intention of talking to him before school began but unfortunately I some how missed him. So I decided to wait till lunch break.

The whole time I couldn't concentrate on anything. My mind was too busy calculating ways to get out of this mess and kill Daniel

Once the lunch bell rang, I rushed out of class not giving anyone a glance and ran to Daniel's class and stood few steps away from the door, I didn't want anyone to notice me

After waiting for a few minutes, I almost gave up waiting because practically everyone had exited the class to go to the cafeteria and the hallways were empty, I saw him walk out alone with his head down

Without taking a breath or thinking about it I walked toward him, grabbed him by the ear and began pulling him toward the school's library

He began protesting, trying to get me to release his ears"ow Sarah, let go! That hurts! What on earth are you doing?"

Despite his best effort, I remained silent but maintained my grip on his ear and did not stop working until I got to the library. Thankfully no one was in the hallway to see me dragging him by the ear and I was also grateful that the library was empty

Once I got into the library, I let him go and shut the door, still maintaining my silence

"What the heck is wrong with you, why did you do that?" Daniel asked looking at me like I had gone crazy.

Well if he thinks this is crazy, then what would he call what I really wanted to do to him! I wanted to grab a belt and beat the living day light out of his behind!!!

"Tell me what the heck were you thinking accepting my family's proposal! Are you insane! I'm eighteen years of age and there is no way I'm getting married now! And there is no way in hell that I'm marrying a fifteen year old boy! Besides I don't think underage marriage is legal Also..." I paused to look at him and saw him sitting on a library stool and staring at me with a look on his face

Wait, I know that look...

Is he?...

Naaaaaaa he couldn't be....

There us no way he could possibly be...

Is he freaking ignoring me?!!! I thought angrily

I got so mad that I walked up to him and gave him an extremely hard flick on his head, the sound of the impart vibrated through out the room! It did hurt my finger a lot but my anger was more

"LISTEN TO ME WHEN I'M TALKING, BOY!!!" I yelled
