Entire chapter is filled with medical jargon. Some of the inline comments are gone because I edited some part hehe.
STORM
"NO, no, no!" I said repeatedly as I catch Sabrina on my arms with blood all over her abdomen. My hands are shaking as I packed her bleeding wound with my white coat.
"S-Storm..." she said and vomited blood on my clothes.
I looked at the motor running away. I closed my eyes and concentrated despite the noises from the crowd. Red Ducati, no plate number, driver has black helmet with red lining, two people with big body built, backrider is left-handed, one gunshot missed and hit a car's wheel instead.
I saw Travis running towards us. "I'll drive," he said.
"Hold on, Sabrina. Please."
"S-Storm...s-si baby..."
My right hand continued packing her wound with my coat and my left hand reached for my stethospcope.
I searched for our baby's heartbeat and I felt quite relieved when I heard it, but her heartbeat is fading.
"No, no, please. Hold on. Please. Hold on."
"Doc, doc, my wife...my wife she had gunshot wound...point of entry on right upper quadrant, no point of exit. Patent airway, tachypneic, probably low oxygen saturation, she's tachycardic, GCS 11, bluish in color, confused, fetal bradycardica. Doc, please. Please help us..."
I heard him on the other line commanding the interns to call for Anesthesiologist, Pediatrician, and OB.
"Blood type of your wife?"
"Type O po, doc."
"Asan na kayo?"
"M-Malapit na po."
"We'll prepare everything here. Bilisan ninyo."
"Yes, Doc. Thank you po."
"Travis please, Drive faster. Please."
Huminga siya nang malalim. "I'm a drag racer. Kapit. "
The meter reached its maximum speed.
I listened to our baby's heartbeat again and it's now on 90 beats per minute, the normal should be 120 to 160 beats per minute.
"S-Saan tayo p-pupunta?" Sabrina asked again, she's confused already. Her consciousness is declining as well.
Pagdating namin sa hospital ay agad na isinakay si Sabrina sa stretcher at sinalubong ako ni Doc Fernandez, the chief resident of Surgery Department.
Sabrina was hooked to oxygen.
