Minhee woke up that morning feeling happy and well-rested. She smiled at the thought of her first date last night. Still feeling giddy, she jumped out of bed and made her and her parents some breakfast before heading back to her room to continue working on her essay.
After around three hours or so, Minhee still hadn't moved from her spot and was typing feverishly at her laptop. She was on a roll until her mother's voice called her from the kitchen, "Minhee! Luhan is here to pick you up on a date!" Her typing stopped as she turned towards the door,
"T-Tell him to wait!" She scrambled around first saving her precious essay. "I'll be out in a minute!" Minhee's mother sighed and invited Luhan to sit on the couch as she prepared some tea. From the small living room he could hear the bustling around in her room and the occasional curse words that slipped out of her mouth. He chuckled to himself.
After a few minutes on contemplating what to wear, Minhee finally decided on a flowy flower dress and a droopy cardigan. Before exiting from her room she checked herself in the mirror and smiled. Never had she ever looked so 'nice' for someone and never had she ever felt these feelings for him.
After checking his phone for the thousandth time, Luhan looked up and his breath got caught in his throat. Minhee looked stunning, sure she looked pretty yesterday, but somehow she had managed to outdo herself again. "You're finally ready." He teased while grasping her small hand in his. From the background he could hear her mother coo.
"Let me take a picture of this before you two go!" Beside him he could hear her sigh and grumble how embarrassing her mother was.
"Where are we going?" Minhee asked while he was driving silently. He glanced over from the road and smiled,
"It's a surprise."

Luhan woke up that morning with an empty bed and he sighed in relief, he didn't have to kick out another girl today. He walked into the kitchen and found Minseok making breakfast as usual. "Goodmorning!" Luhan chirpped happily as he filled his mug with coffee.
"The girl seemed nice." Minseok spoke as he placed a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon in front of Luhan.
"You talked to her?" Luhan asked as he began eating. "What was her name again?"
"She didn't want to tell me but before she left this morning, she apologized for being loud last night." He smirked while taking a sip of the orange juice.
Luhan came back into his room and saw that he had missed a call from his father. Rolling his eyes he redialed his father's number. "Luhan, come over to our house as quickly as you can. We have some things to discuss." Before he could even respond the phone hung up.
"How was your date last night?" His mother asked as he sat down in front of his parents. He shrugged,
"It was okay-- nothing too big."
"Did Minhee have a good time?" His father spoke and Luhan nodded before checking his phone again.
"Can I go now? I have--"
"Take Minhee out on another date." His father said, "We need to get this marriage on the road and Minhee needs to be able to trust you before she can accept your proposal."
"I-I'm busy today!" Luhan stuttered. He wasn't really busy, truth be told. He just didn't want to waste his time taking Minhee out on a date again. Sure Minhee was nice and extremely nice to look at, but she wasn't fun. Who knows how long it will be before she succumb to him-- he wasn't going to wait for her to "trust" him.
"Busy my ass." His father smirked, "Take Minhee out on a date or I'll cut off your credit card right now!"
-
Luhan pulled his car into the valet section of another fancy hotel. He opened the door for Minhee as he gave his car keys to the man before him. Before she could question where they were or what they were doing-- Luhan intertwined their fingers together pulling her into the large golden gates.
The two were mindlessly wandering around the lobby of the hotel before Luhan finally spoke up. "I needed to go look for some new running shoes, do you mind tagging along with me?"
"I don't mind at all." She said sweetly as she hugged his arm. He tried his best not to gag.
-
Both of them walked into the nearest Nike's shop and began looking around. "If you find anything you want, just tell me and I'll get it for you." He quickly sped off to find his shoes.
Minhee aimlessly began checking out the beautiful shoes before her. She glanced down at her old shoes and laughed to herself, though the shoes were terribly ugly, she could never have Luhan buy new ones for her. She didn't want to seem like a gold-digger before him.
"Ma'am are you looking for any shoes in particular?" A worker asked her. She turned around and smiled softly before shaking her head.
"I'm good thank you."
The worker smiled and nodded his head, "If you do need anything though, do not hesitate to ask me. My name is Chanyeol!"
"I will keep that in mind Chanyeol."
-
A few hours later, Luhan and Minhee left the stores with five new pairs of shoes for Luhan. All of them totalling up to well over $300 which he paid like it was no big deal. "Did you want to buy anything Minhee?" Luhan asked, "You didn't get anything back there."
"Oh no, I didn't need any new shoes." She said smiling. He chuckled to himself, it was odd that a women in her predicament didn't jump at the thought of being able to buy name brand shoes.
"Can we go eat?" Minhee said startling his train of thought. "I'm really hungry." She said while rubbing her stomach, a gesture in which he found to be quite cute.
"Of course, where do you want to go?" He asked. Minhee didn't have to think very long as she quickly pointed to the burger joint in front of them.
"Here!" She said giddily, "I've been craving a burger and some fries."
-
The couple was seated near the back of the restaurant and quickly took their orders. "How are you feeling about this arranged marriage?" Luhan asked Minhee as she took a quick sip from her soda. He noticed how she flushed red and stuttered.
"I mean I guess it's okay?" She asked. "As long as our parents are happy." He nodded before also taking a sip of his glass. "W-What about you?" Minhee asked suddenly.
"What about me?" Luhan asked.
"H-How do you feel about the wedding?" Minhee had no idea why she was so nervous at asking him this. Maybe it was because she knew that from the start Luhan was against this idea. He was only going through with this because his parents forced him too.
Maybe it was because Minhee was hoping deep inside he had started to develop feelings for her just as she did for him.
Luhan took note of this and smirked before glancing up at her, "Quite honestly I wasn't very fond of this idea in the beginning." He trailed off, "However, I'm finally coming to terms with this and I'm really glad that I'm soon going to share my life with a beautiful girl who stole my heart."
-
Did she hear him correct? Luhan just indirectly confessed that he liked her as well! Minhee wasn't sure on how to feel about this but one thing was sure, she could not keep the heat from rising to her cheeks once again.
Luhan couldn't keep the smirk from rising in his lips once again.
