8th Love Story: Neku Traverse Town

You run away from the big group of Meow Wows and Kooma Pandas stopping quickly to block the path with a wall of ice,
"Hah hah" you run up the stairs and end up in the fountain plaza,
You run around it and more Meow Wows and Komori Bats appear.
"Give it a break would ya!" You shoot them with fireballs from your hand and keep running,
Opening the door to District 4 you turn your head and quickly close it before a Komori bats sound wave could hit you.
"Phew..." You catch your breath against the wall and sigh, "so this is district 4"
You jump down the steps and look inside one of the windows of the the shops,
"Wow that one looks pretty expensive" you whisper to yourself but you hear quiet music,
You turn head head and standing there is a boy with his collar coming up past his mouth, bright yellow and orange spiked hair and giant headphones,
"Well, um hello?" You turn to him and he looks around you to the Jade bracelet you were looking at,
"We're you planning on buying it?" He says quite loudly,
How can he hear me with the music blaring from his headphones?
"Of course I was" you lie,
"Hmph" you imagine he smirked behind his collar as he walks past you, into the shop.
"What are you- hey!" You watch him through the window make his way to the moogle at the register, he points towards you and you duck quickly, sitting against the wall.
After a minute we walks back out and stands above you, you look up and he has both his hands in his pocket,
"What? I have no where to go-"
You're interrupted by him holding out his hand, you sigh,
"Come on, get of the ground" he mumbles, you take it slowly and stand up, "here."
He holds out the jade bangle and drops it into your hand,
"Why..." He turns around and starts walking away, "wait" you jog up to him and put your hand on his shoulder,
"Don't." He shoves it away and keep walking,
"Hey! Why did you buy this for me?" You walk alongside him, "and why are you walking so quickly"
"I have a time limit" he still looks straight ahed,
"A what?"
He holds his palm up and you look at the numbers tattooed on, suddenly it counts down one,
"I have to go" before you could say anything he jumps up onto the roof, making you stumble back.
You look up to the rooftops but he's gone, you look down at the bangle he bought you,
"..." You slide it on your wrist and bite your lip.

You wait on the roof of the cafe until you see a group of Nightmares appear,
"Here he comes..." You lay low and peer over the rooftop,
Like you said Neku comes running down the stairs, summoning fire on his palms and throwing them at the creatures.
You sigh, watching him bounce off the walls with grace and-
You shake your head quickly,
"I just want to say thank you and maybe get his name" you tuck a strand of hair behind your ear.
He defeats the last nightmare with ease then looks at his palm again, he sighs and runs his hand through his hair, running off again,
"Hey! Wait"
It's too late, he's already gone through the door,
You glide off the roof to chase after him.

"How does someone disappear like that?" You whisper to yourself, you stop to catch your breath then hear the familiar faint music,
"What do you want?" His bored voice asks behind you, turning quickly you say,
"Thanks for the bracelet" you hold up your arm then notice it's gone, "wait!" You look at the other arm then Neku chuckles,
"This one?" He holds it up,
"You... Didn't pay for it did you" you laugh,
"Who has 10,000 munny for a jade bracelet?" He smiles behind his collar. He throws it back and you catch it,
You put it back on your wrist and look up at him again,
"I was wondering what your name is"
"Neku"
"Nice to meet you-"
"Neku Sakibara*" he finishes,
"I'm {name} {last name}"
He look at his palm again,
"Do you... Happen to know how to get into the clock tower?"
"There's a passage from underground..." You start walking to the drains, "you coming?"
"Y-yeah" he follows you to the small tunnel with a small stream of water,
"Sorry if you don't like water" you mutter,
"I'm fine" he snaps, avoiding the water by stepping on the sides of the tunnel,
"Yeah of course you are" you laugh.
The two of you walk through the tunnels until you reach the ladder, he follows you up and you open the hatch.
"Here we a-" suddenly something hits your head and the inside of the clock tower blurs away.

"Hey you alright?" Nekus concerned face and blue eyes fill your vision,
"What... Happened? What happened today, like" you sit up, "who are you?"
Neku looks down, his headphones on his neck,
"I don't really know myself... All I know or, think I know is that" he looks around,
"We're being watched?" You huff,
"I might like you" he looks dead into your eyes, "but I have a timer and... I don't want you to have one too"
He leans forward and kisses you, his collar softly brushing against your chin.
His eyes move away from yours and he disappears again,
"Bye Neku" you whisper.

This was a really short story but I actually really like this.

Like this is Neku, he is a boy with few words in Kingdom hearts, I've played the world ends with you but this is a kingdom hearts fanfic.
