Chapter 5

    The weather was extremely hot. Salem could not detect any heartbeat for any creature above the ground. He looked around to make sure that no one is around, then opened a portal that leads to a dark, silent place.

    He stepped into the dimension and closed it immediately after he was in. He stood in front of a huge mansion. The doors were made of cold lava, knobs were two skulls. He stood in front of the doors and searched for the bell.

    "Never expected you to pay me a visit young man." Said a voice behind him. He Sighed and turned around. "Hey Nightmare, long time no see." Said Salem with a smile.

    Nightmare was an S rank demon. She had long wavy purple hair, red eyes with a broken heart in each as her cornea. She wore a tank top and black shorts, revealing in her snowy skin. "Let me guess you came to kill me in my own dimension that only I can reach." Said Nightmare with a cold tone.

    Salem laughed a bit and told her that he needs some information about the Demon God and his guardians. She looked at him with her heartbroken eyes and sighed. She invited him inside her huge mansion.

    The mansion was lighted up with candles. On the right, there was a hallway that leads to a hall of meetings. On the left, an empty hall that was lighted by souls. The stairs were made of human and animal bones. She climbed the stairs, followed by Salem. The second floor was made of cold lava. On the right hand, there was a door made of bones that lead to a library. In front of them, a long hallway lit by blue souls. And on their left Was a kitchen. It was not necessary for demons to have a kitchen in their mansion.

    "We were informed that you scarred the seventh guardian. Up till now, he could not be healed." Finally said Nightmare after a long time of silence. "Why do you have a kitchen? It is pointless." Said Salem with a mocking tone.

    She headed to the kitchen and grabbed a team box. "I use it for tea only. You want some?" Asked Nightmare inviting him into her kitchen. There was only one closet hanged on the wall in the entrance and a table in the center of the room. Two bone chares placed there on every end of the table. "Put your scythe next to you, I know you won't attack me." Said Nightmare with a voice filled with kindness.

    Salem wanted to know how she prepared her tea with no fire nor water. She held a teapot in her right hand and summoned a soul in her left. "You forgot the water." Said Salem after sitting on the bone chair facing Nightmare. "I already added some don't worry." Replied Nightmare without looking at him.

    The water started to boil, she grew a hand that looked like her ordinary hand out of her back to get some tea and put them in the pot.

    No one spoke a word until she poured tea in two cups and placed it in front of Salem. The other one was placed in front of her. Then took a seat in front of Salem.

    "So here is the story." Said Salem after drinking a sip of the black tea. "He took me to a dimension that I really hated. I believe you kept an eye on me from far." She put her cup on the table and told him "I never knew you hated love so much. He asked me to summon a hand of an ancient squid. to suck you there. And my power" "I know you get the nightmare of your enemy into reality but I am a nightmare. I am not afraid of love I just think that it's a way to kill someone from the inside." Interrupted her. His blood-red eyes met her broken-hearted ones.

    She sighed then continued "So tell me, why do you want information about the Demon God and his guardians?" He took another sip and looked at her "as you can see, your kind wants to end humanity."

    "And you want to be the hero of the story." Salem paused, looked at her then with a sigh said "I want to end it myself."

    She jumped out of her seat, hands planted on the table, and asked him with lots of confusion "My kind could never eat all of the humans on earth and never control them. And now you by yourself, end seven billion human beings." Interrupted Nightmare.
