(Keith's POV)

I wish I could say the ride over was easy. Lance cried and fussed most of the way. Not sure why but no matter what he wouldn't calm down, since the ride went overnight I just unclipped his seatbelt and held him for a bit but he still cried.

We pulled into the new house, we already decided I would sleep upstairs with Lance as one of two of the rooms are conjoined by a door in between them so it would be easier for me to get to him.

Hunk and Allura started unpacking while I brought Lance inside to try to calm him down. A lot of our furniture was in the moving truck which was coming tomorrow so we had to go with what we had. It was around four am so everyone really needed to go to bed.

Once we got everything unpacked, Allura and Hunk went to bed while I attempted to put Lance to bed but the fussy boy refused to. I tried almost everything, Rocking him, singing to him, feeding him, nothing worked. And he was refusing to eat which was worrying.

"Baby come on, let's go to bed." I say calmly. I sit on the couch and rock side to side. His wails calm down and just turn to hiccups and sniffles. His breathing was shaky as he chewed on the hem of my shirt while I rocked him.
"There ya go.. don't you feel better?" I stand up and look around in the kitchen for any food we had brought with us. We packed some of that grilled cheese we had the morning before so I heated it up and tried to hand it to him but he refused.
"Come on, I know you're hungry."
I continued to try to feed him but that just got him fussy again. He began to squirm and tried to push the food away from his mouth. I give up after a few minutes and I just sit on the couch with him for what seems like a hour before Allura comes down.

"He still won't sleep huh?" She sits next to me as I continue to rock him.
"Yup, he's refusing to eat and I know he's hungry and he won't sleep until he's eaten."

Lance turns his head to face Allura, he continues to cry but grabs her shirt and attempts to pull it down.
"Woah, hold on there." Allura takes him from me and holds him to her chest, he keeps attempting to pull her shirt down.
"Let me try something." Allura leaves the room, leaving me to myself. After about a half hour she walks back into the room with a sleeping Lance.

"What did you do?" I ask as she hands me the sleeping boy.
"Apparently he prefers to be breastfed." She laughs slightly.
"Should we stick to milk then?"
She nods and turns to walk back upstairs.
"I'm gonna go back to sleep. Tell me if he wakes up again." I nod and sit on the couch, rocking the boy.

(No ones POV)

It's was around noon and Keith woke up to a literal bang. He quickly looked around and then down, the movers were here and starting to unpack while Lance was on the floor, playing with some blocks he guessed Allura brought for him.

He quickly got up to help the movers carry stuff upstairs. Keith also had to figure out how to install that baby gate he got into the living room.

After the movers left, Keith somehow managed to put in that baby gate and they just finished the nursery. It took a whole day to finish setting up everything and they still had a little bit more to set up but they decided to finish tomorrow.

At this point Lance was already asleep and he had already eaten so safe to say there would be no more crying for a few hours.

Keith picked the small boy off the couch he was sleeping on and brought him to his room and laid him down in the crib. He turned the nightlight on and went back to his room.

Maybe this new house won't be so bad.
