"(Y/n)! wake up dear, It's time we go to Beacon for the visit" Eve's voice rang out waking up out young protagonist.
young (Y/n) then got up from his bed taking a quick shower before putting on his outfit for the day, he wore a dark blue long sleeve shirt and black shorts, he also wore dark brown boots to complete his outfit.
it has been two years since (Y/n)'s two oldest siblings went to Beacon and it's been four months since both Tim and Emily went there as well as first years. now it's time for occasional 'check-up' where the parents would go see if their children are still alive and well.
"Make haste son!" Arthur shouted from the driveway, a bullhead was waiting for them much to our protagonist's surprise
"coming father" (Y/n) replied stumbling down the stairs, they then made their way towards Beacon
"remember son, be on your best behavior" Arthur reminded his son
"Father, what makes you believe that I would act in an improper way?" young (Y/n) feint ignorance while tilting his head at the same time
"Well I know how you and Ruby seem to be what you call weapon nuts, getting excited at the sight of a cool weapon," Arthur said reminiscing all the times where young (Y/n) would jump at a weapon and try to 'upgrade' it
"now that you've mentioned it, dear you and Ruby have been really close lately. tell me do you like her?" Eve asked her son with sparkles in her eyes
(Y/n) expected this question since he has been getting real close with Ruby after he decided to nurture the feelings that the young Rose harbored for him, with (Y/n)'s memories of the past he made short work of capturing the young maiden's heart. After a moment of deliberate silence (Y/n) opened his mouth and said
"yes mother, I like her, she's my friend" (Y/n) replied and got a raised eyebrow from his mother
"Dear, When I said like, not as a friend more like a crush or romantic interest" Eve explained while at the same time trying to read the emotion that shows on (Y/n)'s face
"I know mother, and I mean it. I like her that way" (Y/n) replied with an indifferent expression
"Wow, even I can't muster the courage to be that straight forward when I tried wooing your mother." Arthur chimed in, impressed how his son can reveal the content of his heart without hesitation, although it worried him a bit. While Arthur had pride in his eyes for his son Eve on the other hand was smiling from ear to ear.
"Mother, may I ask why you recorded that?" (Y/n) asked with every bit of innocence in his voice, Eve merely gave her son a coy smile as she grabbed her scroll and dialed a number
"Summer!" She yelled over the phone "Did you get that?" Eve asked in a high pitched voice only to be met with a shriek on a pitch higher than Eve
"OHMYGODHE'SSOCUTE!" Summer yelled over the phone
"Well son, your fucked" Arthur commented receiving a slap on the back of his head from his wife
