"Thanks..," he uttered. "Should we read through it?" Kirumi asked. "It provides necessary information so..., yes we must go through the gruesome details," Kaede answered. I glanced at the Monokuma File that was provided, the victim is surely Ryoma Hoshi, the location of the corpse was in the library, the victim suffered blunt force trauma on the right side of the skull, which instantly killed him. The estimated time of death is around 9:09pm.

I reacted with pure disgust.  Whoever this sadistic maniac is, I'll be sure they won't get the last laugh. "Hold on, I saw a camera here, it was....," I frantically searched as I said that. I finally came across the camera and asked "Can someone explain why this is here?". "Oh right...," Kaede mumbled. She then explained about her and Shuichi's plan to catch the mastermind. "So that's why you looked so hesitant when I saw you guys earlier!" I exclaimed. "Yeah, we couldn't really tell anyone else, which is why we reacted that way," she added.

We all gathered in front of the fountain in the Shrine of Judgement to prepare for the inevitable class trial. I looked at the statue and thought on how odd it looked, why is Monokuma so centered in everything?  A rumbling noise resonated as the ground shook. The fountain had morphed and an elevator appeared once hidden behind the water. "Does intend for us to board it?" Keebo pondered. "Most likely, yes, why would it morph specifically now?" I reasoned. "Well, it seems there's no turning back," Saihara declared. One by one, we entered the wide elevator.

"Wow, this goes pretty far down," I remarked as it continued to descend. "It's like we're falling, I wonder how far we will plummet," Kiyo commented. As it continued to go down, it was silent and eerie, the clanking sounds of the descending elevator being the only sound to be heard. As I kept to my thoughts, I was able to hear a whisper directed at me, "Hey Y/N?". I looked to my right to see a familiar green haired boy. "I just want to apologize for that entire mess, it ended up getting your arm broken," he quietly said. "It was either you or the arm, and I'm sure one is more valuable than the other," I replied. A shade of light pink appeared on his face.

The elevator came to a halt as the doors opened to reveal a whole new environment. "Welcome to the class trial!" Monotaro shouted. I took in the layout of the room. Podiums were the key thing featured here, with the Monokubs and Monokuma specifically put on the higher podiums to assert control and dominance.

Whoever killed Ryoma is among us, I could even wrap my brain around the idea, an imposter in a crowd, a killer in among the innocent. Till the bitter end of this torture, we must persevere for those who will never see their family or friends again.

I stood on a podium clutching the rails as Monokuma explained the trials. "So this is were it begins...," I mumbled hesitantly.

(A/N: There will be various timeskips as I am not able to include every bit of the trial)

"It should be modeled after real life trials, so let's begin as any normal trial would and begin with a topic," Kirumi suggested. "May I suggest the first topic?" Kiyo queried. "Carry on as you wish,  Kiyo," Saihara encouraged. "I find it mind-boggling on how the culprit didn't take advantage of the first blood perk, don't you agree?" he continued. "Then the only person with a reason for that is Monokuma! He's the one who literally wanted this to happen!" Miu accused. "That seems highly unlikely and convenient, I propose that the mastermind would rather see us kill if they were the one to trap us here," I responded. "Mastermind wuzzat?" Monokuma mindlessly asked.

Shuichi by now, was the most suspicious out of all of us. Still, people like me were still hesitant to immediately accuse Saihara, as there was still many factors we needed to consider. HOLD ON!! The shout cut through the tense atmosphere. "Split? Did you just say split?" Monokuma frantically asked. Most of us were confused by his sudden enthusiasm.

"THE ACADEMY IS PROUD TO PRESENT IT'S OWN MORPHENOMENAL TRIAL GROUNDS!!"

Monokuma pulled out a key and as he turned the key, each podium rose up. We were divided in half according to opinions, as we began the argument.

DEBATE SCRUM START

|"You hid what you knew about the camera intervals, Shuichi" Korekiyo pointed out.

"But Miu silent about intervals too," Gonta responded.|

|"Unlike Shuichi, I actually have an airtight alibi!" Miu argued.

"Kaede backed up Shuichi's alibi didn't she?" Kaito shot back.|

|"Shuichi and Kaede weren't together the whole time, were they?" Maki questioned.

"Both of them were together when the receiver went off," Kirumi recalled|

|"If Shuichi had the receiver, it could've been disguised," Rantaro proposed.

"Kaede was the one who actually had the receiver!" I stated|

|"But that's Kaede's lie isn't it?" Kokichi claimed.

"We'll know whether or not it's a lie once we talk this through!" Kaede reasoned|

"You guys have to take my word! Shuichi is not the culprit!" Kaede insisted. "We'll be totally wrong and get executed!" she continued. Her gaze turned at him and she muttered "Hey, you've been quiet this whole trial, you must've realized something haven't you?" she said. "You're scared to tell the truth," she accused. Shuichi hesitated. I looked in confusion at the boy, and out of the blue, he began to recite his knowledge.

"As we know, from the pictures, Rantaro ended up discovering the hidden door, both Y/N and him can confirm a shot put ball descended from the bookshelves, landing on Y/N's arm, me, Kaede, Tenko and Kaito were present as Rantaro went to retrieve the box, after they left, we all spread out to get the others, but once we were out of view, Kaede retracted her steps and retrieved the ball, Ryoma happened to enter in the hidden room, and out of panic and shock,...Kaede hit the ball firmly on his head which killed him instantly," he declared.

The entire room was in shock. "Once she realized what she had done, she quickly ran and did what we intended to do...," he ended. The vote was cast, everyone even Kaede, voted for her.

"...." I was at a loss of words. Still, tears managed to emerge from my eyes and make their way down my face. "Y/N?" she questioned me. "I-I'm so sorry,...I hate it, I HATE THIS SO MUCH!!" I shouted in anguish. We all grieved at this conclusion. Kaede was dragged away by her neck and hanged, I couldn't even process any of it when the spiked tip cover of the piano crushed her already lifeless body. Splattered everywhere were Monokid's mechanical parts and blood.

We reentered the elevator carrying along our pain and grieving. As I stepped out of that dastardly place, all my energy had disappeared. I began to head to the dorms as a hand grabbed my wrist, and asked "Do you mind if I follow you?". I nodded at him as we strolled through the endless sky of stars. Rantaro dawned a face of silent mourning as the walk continued.  I took a breath and uttered "Look around...," I took a step infront. "Look around," I stepped again.

"At how lucky we are to alive right now...," I ended. I cracked a small smile, still with remnants of despair and pain as I turned to face him, both arms stretched side to side. A sudden warm embrace came to me with no warning.

As the twilight sky covered the above and beyond, we continued to make our way to the dorms, hand in hand. We parted ways as we entered our assigned dorms. I hugged my pillow as I closed my weary eyes.
