Hey guys,
This is my first time trying to write a book. I'm open to any suggestions or ideas to improve my writing. So with that said, Hope you enjoy the story!

I was walking down the hallway trying to find Carrie when I saw her talking to Julie and Flynn. I decides to go and see what's going on knowing that they don't get along anymore.

"Oh my gosh,Carrie. Thanks!" Flynn said sarcastically.

"Oh my gosh, Flynn. Don't bother coming!" I heard Carrie reply before walking away.

"Hey Julie, Hey Flynn."  I greet them both.
"Hey Lucy" They both say together.

I have been great friends with Julie and Flynn for as long as I can remember. Even after me staying friends with Carrie after their fall out. They were upset for a bit but decided to let it go knowing how important they all were to me.

"I'm really sorry about Carrie. You know how she is." I apologize for Carrie before saying bye and leaving to catch up to her.

I find Carrie giving away some more flyers and say "You could at least try to be nice".

Carrie looks at me before replying " I love you, Lucy but that's just not gonna happen. "

I rolls my eyes at her before we both start walking to our next class.

~ Music class ~

Nick finishes his performance before coming back to sit on his seat.

"Ok...We have got one last performance. Julie?" Mrs. Harrison says looking at Julie.

"You can do this" I whisper to Julie and gave her an encouraging squeeze.

I watch Julie walk over to the piano in anticipation knowing it's her last chance.

Julie sits down taking a deep breath before standing up and saying "I'm sorry" to Mrs. Harrison.

Carrie asks "Is this when we clap?"
"Watch it, Carrie " Flynn snapped running after Julie.

"Shut up Carrie " I whisper angrily before rushing after Julie and Flynn.

~ Later that day ~

I received a call from Julie asking if I wanted to sleepover at hers and help her with her mother's Studio. I immediately said yes knowing how hard it is for her to go there for the first time after her mother's death.

We walk towards the studio and I give her an encouraging smile before pushing the doors open. I switch on the lights and give Julie a minute to collect herself.

I watch as she walks over to the piano and pulled off the covers. I walk over to her as she sits on the piano and give her a side hug.

I tell her I was going to get some water and walked into the kitchen. I was about to go back to the studio when I heard julie shouting and running to her room.

I ran after her and asked in concern "what happened? Are you okay? And why were you shouting like that?"

Just as she was about to answer me her father knocks on the door. I tell them I would be downstairs knowing that they probably needed some time alone to talk about what just happened.

I pace around downstairs wondering what  happened for Julie to be so shaken up like that when Julie comes down with a cross in her hand.

"Are you going to tell me what just happened or not?" To which Julie replied with a simple "Follow me".

We walk back into the Studio and Julie starts talking in thin air with the cross still in her hands.

Feeling confused and tired I finally asked "Who the hell are you even talking to?"

Julie ignored me and exclaimed " I know I saw something. I am not crazy!"

Suddenly, I heard a voice say " We are all a little crazy".

I turn around towards the voice and  couldn't believe my eyes. I saw the face of the person I grew up hearing stories about. The reason I discovered my passion for music. I saw the face of my dead brother, Luke Patterson.

Hope you all enjoyed the first chapter! Please comment and tell me what you think.
