Rose's POV

I'm standing on the balcony in Lucifer and my room, looking out at the garden. Even after what happened there, the garden is beautiful. Elliot is standing by the door inside of the room. Lucifer sent me off with Elliot after Elijah asked to speak to him alone. He told me I could go anywhere, but I decided to just come back to the room.

I'm regretting the fact that I left my switch in Lucifer's office. Without my switch, I am left alone to my thoughts. Well, Elliot is here. I could try starting a conversation with him, but I feel like that would be awkward, so instead I just stare out at the garden.

After about 15 minutes the bedroom door opens and I turn around and see Lucifer walk in. I watch him glance around the room letting his eyes stop on me. Yes, Lucifer, I'm behaving. I know, its shocking, but it's clear you aren't letting me leave anytime soon and I really don't want to be locked up in the cells again.

"Your dismissed Elliot. Keep your phone on you. I'm gonna need you to take care of something for me soon." Lucifer says.

Elliot nods and leaves the bedroom, closing the door behind him. Lucifer walks over to me and looks out at the garden for a moment before turning his attention to me.

"You left this in my office." He says and holds out his hand. I look down and see my switch in his hand.

"Thank you," I say softly and take it from him. I walk back into the room and put the switch on my bedside table and sit on the edge of the bed. He looks at me and walks over to his side of the bed and flops back on it and pulls out his phone.

I lay back on the bed and look up at the ceiling. Things between Lucifer and I are... awkward. I don't know how to talk to him. I mean, how does one have a conversation with their kidnapper? I am afraid of saying the wrong thing and pissing him off. I really hate the cells and I'll do anything to avoid ending up locked up down there again. Even resigning to a boring life of silence. I glance over at him, he looks to be reading an email on his phone. Does he ever stop working?

"Uhm, Lucifer?" I ask before I fully am aware of what I am doing. He tilts his phone down and looks over at me with a raised eyebrow as if he wasn't expecting me to speak.

"Yes?" I don't wanna ask anymore. What if he gets mad at me?

"Can I ask you something?" He nods. "Promise you won't get mad?" I ask and his eyebrows scrunch in confusion.

"I can't promise that if you ask something stupid." He pauses for a moment, thinking. Is my question stupid? I really shouldn't ask. "How about this, I promise I won't get mad if it's a genuine question." I take a deep breath.

"Do you think I can ever have my phone back?" I ask and suddenly feel the need to continue. "I just get so bored and you're always working and" His lips lift in a smirk.

"Am I not giving you enough attention?" He asks as he turns off his phone and tucks it into his pocket.

"N-no that's not what I'm saying,"

"You want me to put aside some more time for you?" He asks and rolls on his side so he is facing me, propping himself up on his elbow.

"N-no, I..."

"And what did you have in mind for us to do?" He slowly leans forward getting closer and closer to me. My heart starts beating faster. Am I scared of him being this close to me, or...? "Hmm?" He hums the last part inching closer and closer. I stare up at him wide eyed. He has shifted so that one arm is on the far side of my body and he is leaning over, practically on top of me.

"Lucifer," I breath looking up at him. His smirk never leaves his face as he slowly inches his face closer to mine. Why is my heart beating so fast? Suddenly he pulls his phone out of his pocket and holds it to his ear, never breaking eye contact with me and staying, supported on one arm now, in my personal space.

"Hello?" He answers the phone, and I am grateful he has stopped inching closer. I can't hear the person on the phone with him. "She agreed?" He asks. I take the time to study his face again. His eyes are still as intimidating as ever, but somehow different. He is gazing at me with something in his eyes I don't remember seeing before. Softness?

His eyes suddenly light up a bit and he chuckles at what the other person said. "I don't doubt that. I'll send Elliot down." Who is he talking to? He hardly ever laughs at phone calls, they are normally always business related. "I'll keep that in mind." He says before pulling the phone away from his ear and hanging up without any sort of goodbye.

"Who was that?" I ask. If I keep him talking, maybe he will stay distracted.

"Elijah," He answers before sitting himself up and texting someone, I assume Elliot.

"Oh," It's not my business to ask what they were talking about, but I can't help but be curious. Once Lucifer finishes with his text he puts his phone away and looks at me.

"You will be happy to know that I am releasing Lucy from the cells." That's surprising.

"What made you change your mind?"

"Elijah fell for her and practically begged me to let him have her, so I told him to give her the choice to go with him or stay in the cells with me. She chose him so I am letting her leave under his supervision. As long as she doesn't do something stupid, she is free."

"Wow Lucifer. I'm really proud of you, I know that must have been a hard decision for you." A smirk crosses his face and suddenly he is on top of me again, his face inches from mine. On cue my heart races again, and I had just calmed it down too!

"Making you happy makes it worth it. I know my keeping her there bothered you." He would put himself in an uncomfortable situation just to make me happy? Lucifer, the mafia boss who has always gotten everything he has ever wanted, put my happiness above his own?

"I want to talk about chase." I say suddenly in a moment of courage. He seems to be in a good mood, and I've been wanting to talk to him about this. The smirk melts off his face and his face becomes deadly serious.

"What about him?" He asks and sits back up. I killed the mood, but I don't mind. I just hope he isn't angry.

"Why do you have him locked up?" I ask, sitting up myself.

"Because he hurt what is mine. I can't allow him to get away with that." At least he isn't trying to deny it.

"How long has he been down there?"

"Ever since you told me what he did to you. We took him that night." I go silent for a moment, thinking. How do I feel about Lucifer taking Chase? I mean Chase deserved it, but Lucifer had no right to involve himself in my past. Since when does Lucifer care about boundaries though.

"Will you take me to see him?" I ask.

"I'm not sure you want to see him." I give him a firm look.

"I want to see him. He hurt me Lucifer. For three years he used my body against my will. I deserve to see what kind of torture you inflicted on him on my behalf." He looks at me for a moment, debating if he should accept my request. Finally, he sighs, seeming to come to a conclusion.
