Ch. 16

"Hold the camera still, Nino!" Alya snapped from her chair.

"I haven't even started filming!" He whined.

"If you're this fidgety when we aren't even recording, you'll be a mess when we do."

He groaned and tried to stand still.

"Are you sure this is okay, Alya?" Ladybug asked tentatively, repositioning herself on the couch. It had been three days since Lila was locked behind bars. Most of Paris was still celebrating, but the heroes wanted to clear something up before they continued the celebration.

"Of course it's okay! I am more than happy to do it! Besides, it'll be my big debut! If you're having second thoughts, we don't have to do it." Alya said.

"No second thoughts over here." Cat Noir reassured her as he put his arm around Ladybug. The whole thing had been his idea. Since the whole world knew he had kissed Marinette, then the team saw him kissing Ladybug, some started suspecting that Marinette and Ladybug were one and the same. Others thought Cat Noir was a playboy, which Plagg took delight in. It bothered him though, so he came up with a plan to get everyone's stories straight.

Nino moved again, and Alya shot him a poisonous glare. He withered and held still, so Alya smiled and turned toward the heroes. "Are you ready?"

Ladybug nodded. "Let's do it."

Alya pointed to Nino, who started counting down.

"Three, two one, action!" He said.

Alya smiled perfectly. "Thank you all for tuning in to the ladyblog today. As you can see, our lovely heroes Ladybug and Cat Noir have decided to join us today. They wanted to clear something up, but I also have a few other questions for them as well."

Ladybug's eyebrows rose at this news.

"So, let's get started!" Alya said. "First question: how does it feel to finally be rid of villains?"

Cat Noir moved his arm and leaned forward. "I think I can answer that pretty easily. It feels great! After all our hard work to save Paris, we've finally done it! I think the best part of it all was to see how happy everyone was when we finally reclaimed the butterfly miraculous."

Alya nodded. "It was a great day for everyone, and it was made even more memorable by the release of all the white butterflies. Okay, question two: what are your plans now?"

Cat Noir's brow creased. I never thought about what would happen once we defeated Hawk Moth and Dark Orcus. I just knew we had to defeat them. He leaned back and turned to Ladybug, who looked equally puzzled.

"I guess we never really thought that far ahead." She admitted. "I just knew we had to defeat them, for the good of all Paris."

"Interesting. Now, onto the big scoop you've all been waiting for! What is up with Cat Noir's love life?"

Cat Noir felt his face turn red with embarrassment. He chuckled. "Yeah, there have been a lot of rumors about that. I'm glad all the ladies have finally taken an interest in me."

Ladybug punched his shoulder at that comment, making him wince.

"But of course I only care if my lady loves me." He amended.

Alya continued. "So, you and Marinette aren't together then?"

Cat Noir shook his head. "No. Marinette and I are just really good friends."

Alya leaned forward. "If that's so, how do you explain the kiss."

Cat Noir smiled. "That was an extremely clever move on her part. You see, we are good friends and often talk to each other. Once we realized we were both in love with someone who would need a push to love us back, we decided to cook up a little scheme."
