As a kid I always wanted to protect people and fight for what's right. I always look up to my parents with pride, so when we had to train in set ups for actual missions, I was over the moon! I loved to train with my family and now that they know about my quirk, we could more often. I was out training with my dad trying to dodge his attacks. With him erasing my quirk I had to rely on combat skills. I dodged his punch by ducking, sweeping my leg underneath him. He obviously saw that coming and jumped. I twisted upwards and kicked him in the face, a new trick I learned and no one knew. I got back on my feet and pulled him up. He smiled at me looking pleased.
"You've improved immensely Izumi, but you still need to work on your form, especially when your guard is down." He explained while tripping me. I laughed and dusted myself off. We walked home talking about random TV shows I found or new books. I opened the door to see my father cooking dinner and Shinsou nowhere in sight. I walked into the kitchen To hug my father.
"Where's Hitoshi? Is he home?" I asked. I honestly just wanted to pick a fight with my brother and settle the uneven score we keep track of.
"He's in his room, no fighting your brother, i know what you're up to" he gave me a comforting playful smile and I just laughed. I walked down the hall to my room but stopped in front of Hitoshi's room door. It was shut but not locked. I heard him on the phone and just thought it was a normal conversation, I was about to leave when I heard him say "I love you too," I slammed opened the door and yelled.
"Who are you talking to?!" I had a happy expression Plastered on my face. He jumped a little before getting up, pushing me out, and slamming the door on my face. I shrugged it off and walked into my room. I layed down and passed out.
"Izumi! Hitoshi! Dinner!" I heard my father yell. I shot out of bed and ran into the dining room to eat.
The table was very quiet so I finished quicker than normal. I got up, cleaned my dish, and sat on the couch watching TV. I just waited for the rest of my family but they never came. I heard discrete talking. I peaked in from behind a wall to listen to their conversation.
“So what did you want to talk about Hitoshi?" My father asked kindly. I saw Hitoshi with a nervous sweat. What was going on?
"Well, you see….i-i-i…." He started to trail off. Was he, no, maybe? "This shouldn't be so hard! I um i...i like boys…" he just spit it out, finally! I've been waiting for him to say it. I forgot I was supposed to be hiding and I jumped out yelling in excitement.
"I knew you could do it! Finally!" I got confused and disappointed by them. I laughed nervous and slowly backed into the shadows of my hiding. The conversation continued from there.
"We're glad you told us. It's hard to tell your family things like, but it shouldn't have been that hard to tell us. Why was it?" My father questioned. I honestly was wondering the same thing. Our parents were already gay so why so difficult?
"I guess I was just worried. My boyfriend doesn't know my parents, let alone the fact they are gay so I guess when I told him I was coming out his reassurance was a bit different. I guess I got caught up in it?" He answered unsurly. I guess that made sense, but now I wanna know who the boyfriend is!
"Who's the lucky guy?" My father asked. My brother hesitated.
"Kaminari Denki, he's one of your students." I knew it! I was silently fangirling till I heard them talk again.
"How long have you known?" My dad asked. I leaned in closer to hear, I've known his secret for a while but I too wanted to know how long.
