I stood at the 'Arrivals', waiting for Promise at the Murtala Mohammed Airport alongside Bola, my boss' niece, who had accompanied me to welcome her dear niece.
According to Bola, they were very fond of each other and she was also there to help me identify her.
For security reasons we had agreed for her family members to wait behind at home, to avoid making the dust fly by coming to the airport since they were public figures.
The flight scheduled to arrive at 11 AM had arrived at exactly 11:01 AM and we had stood for almost five minutes yet there was no sign of Promise.
I called the attention of Bola.
"You haven't found her yet?" I asked for the second time in 60 seconds.
"Yes, and I don't understand" she replied looking worried. I was worried too.
"She told you she would be on a red dress right?" I asked, my eyes scanning through the throng of arriving passengers. None of them matched her description.
"Please call her. Maybe this is the wrong flight" I suggested and she dialed at once.
"Hey ... pretty. Are you not in the flight that just arrived now? Okay. So where are you? We're waiting...What?! On your way home? With who?"

I was happily looking for my niece Bola as I alighted from the flight. I had really missed her so much. I knew she was probably somewhere looking at me with a smile but I was yet to find her.
Two guys on suit approached me. They must be my brother's security agents, I thought.
One of them was so hot; it must be Val, the new agent from US.
Oh yes, Bola had already told me about him.
"Promise Adekola right?" He asked.
"Yes. You must be Agent Val?" I asked him with a smile.
"Yes ma'am". They took my luggage and I followed them.
"Please just call me Promise. Where is Bola? She told me she was coming with you.
"Bola ... erhm ... yeah she was supposed to come with us, but she said she had a surprise waiting for you at home". I wondered what surprise Bola had for me. I couldn't wait to get home.
We were on our way home when I got a call from Bola. I picked the call excitedly but she sounded worried. She spoke too fast.
"Hey ... pretty" Bola greeted at the other end.
"Hi Bola the Bola!" I hailed her in excitement.
"Are you not in the flight that just arrived now?" She had asked at once.
"I was ... yeah, we've arrived".
"Okay. So where are you? We're waiting ..."
"Ah! Bola calm down. We're already on our way home" I interrupted.
