As a woman, our fight started the day we were born. A fight against all the wrongs we are taught.

At one, we are taught how to sit not like a baby but as a girl. At two, how to walk not like how boys could but how a lady should. At three, how to talk all the while being cued that being quiet is a better option. At four, how to dress, where the knees and shoulders are sacred body parts and should always be covered. At five, how to not play football because boys and girls aren't the same. At six, how to stay at home because the world is a dark place. At seven, how to make tea because it's always better to start early. At eight, how to listen because their opinions don't matter. At nine, to stare at the floor while being blamed for something they haven't done. At ten, how to succumb to their destiny, destiny that was known the day they were born as a girl.

And it continues and continues till one day it enough and they stand up for themselves and others like them because it's time to rectify the wrongs.
