It was time for the maknaes to perform.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have saved a surprise for you," declared Jungkook from the stage.
"A bonus song we've been practising for," added Taehyung.
"A finale to end off our festival performance," finished Jimin.
The three girls, still standing behind the seated audience, stirred.
"They had time to learn another song?" asked Nadiya in surprise.
"Since when?" said Lily, befuddled.
"Oh my gosh, I wonder what it is!" said Tricia excitedly.
The fact that the boys could squeeze in another song meant they were more talented than the girls had thought. It wasn't easy to learn an entire song from scratch; the three of them knew this from experience. Could it be that their real talents were slowly awakening?
"Oh? This seems interesting," said Namjoon, appearing suddenly beside them and making the girls jump.
The other three teachers showed up as well. It was distracting to have them in such close proximity.
"I wonder what this secret song is," said Hoseok. "Will it be epic...like THIS?"
He busted a random move in front of them, making the girls and the teachers laughed."That's what we were asking ourselves too!" said Tricia.
"Mr Jung, you're so funny!" cried Lily.
"Whatever it is, I don't think they can match your energy level, Mr Jung," chuckled Seokjin.
"Just like no one can match my ability to nap," grinned Yoongi.
Namjoon nodded. "You said it. One time, Mr Min and I shared a cab while getting home from a teachers' conference. And I kid you not, that driver was awful! He drove like a madman. While I was holding on for dear life, Mr Min was sleeping like a baby!"
