What the hell

"Hold up. So you're telling me that you are a billionaire, a genius, a SUPERHERO, and my father?!?!?!?!?!" I stood up.

"Well, yeah, I suppose." He said innocently. Pepper rolled her eyes and then spoke up for the first time this evening.

"Yes, he is your father, as well as all those other things you mentioned. Believe me, if he had known earlier that he was your father, he would have been here sooner. I know that this comes as a shock so soon after your mothers death, but it is true."

"Yeah. A shock." I was starting to feel a little dizzy, so I leaned on the railing that surrounded the raised dias, and hung my head down, hoping the swimming feeling would go away. It got worse. I was just about to go and sit down when my knees buckled, and I was falling.

Except for the fact that a pair of strong arms caught me under my arms, and carried me back to the booth. Tony shouted for some water, and staff came running from all around the mostly empty bar. It was close to 1 in the morning, and we were supposed to be closing. Tony pushed my head between my knees and rubbed my back while we waited for the water to get here. A crowd was forming, but all I could think about was everything that Tony had just told me.

I had a dad. And he just happened to be one of the richest guys ever. And he was super smart, and not bad looking either. But that wasn't the point. He was my dad. And my mom never told me. And, and, and , and he was my dad. I had a hard time getting over that.

A glass of cold water was pushed in the face, and I drank all of it. Tony was still rubbing my back, and Sol was kneeling in front of me, talking to me and asking me if I was okay. Will stood at the front of crowd, and he looked like he was ready to pummel Tony, but thankfully Johnny and Aidan, two other bartender, were holding his shoulders. Everything was out of focus, like I was seeing it from underwater. All the noise and the voices just blurred together, and all I could do was look around and watch and wonder at it all. Will broke free of the other guys and rushed too my side. I barely noticed. He gently shook my shoulder, grabbed my face and shouted at me. He was really worried, that I could gather. He looked away for a minute, and came back with a damp rag from God knows where. As he patted my face with it, everything came back into focus. Suddenly the noise was all around me, I could hands on me, Tony's and Will's, and I could make out concerned voices in the crowd before me. My eyes connected with Wills, and I must have given a sign I could focus again, because he visible relaxed, and smiled before he whispered "we were worried about you. What happened?"

I couldn't really think straight yet, all I could say was " I have a dad. He's my dad. He's rich."

Wills eyebrows shot up two inches I swear. His mouth dropped open, and he slowly asked "Alana, are you alright?Did you hit your head or anything?"

Before I could say anything, Tony answered for me. "No, she didn't. She just received some rather unexpected news is all. It's a bit of a shock."

"No kidding." Will did not look terribly impressed with Tony. "And who are you, might I ask?" His mouth was set in a straight line, and his eyes had narrowed a great deal.

"I'm her father. Who are you?" Tony's hand stopped running circles around my back. They both stood up, fists clenched at their sides, and the crowd stepped back.

"I'm her friend. Will. How do I know you're not lying?"

Well, this was getting interesting. Protective guys are some of the most amusing things ever.

"What, you want a DNA test? Cuz I can get one done, I'm sure the cost wouldn't be a problem!"

I took a chance and stood up, stepping between them and putting a hand on each chest.
