I wake up hearing my mom yelling my name so I jump up to do my hygiene and decide on this cute black sweater dress with a gold belt

I walked into my closet to find some cute lace stockings and my black and gold booties to match.

I put my hair in a bun with my wet curls hanging down in the front I grabbed my coat and I head out deciding to skip breakfast.

"Come here straight after school"My mom yells after me.

It's just like Sade to have a baby and bring it here.

I walk to the bus stop and  John  approaches me

ugh, I say as soon as he comes behind me while we are getting on the bus

"hey was everything ok at home," John asks as he put his bus card inside the machine

"peachy," I say paying the bus fare I look back and see him smiling.

I go sit down and here comes John sitting next to me

"hey we have until next week to submit our rough draft on our final I can come over to your house after school so we can get started".

" Or not," I say

 "Huh," says John

"oh yea it's cool you can come by".

"Hey, my brother Is gonna pick me up after school you want him to just drop us off".

Anything beats catching the bus.

"Sure," I said as the bus came to a stop in front of our school.

I rushed off to get to my locker.

                                        A few hours later...

As the School bell rings I start to walk to the bus stop

A BMW X5 all-black truck pulls up next to me and rolls down the window just to see John fat ass smiling in the passenger seat

"ready for that ride" He smiled.

"umm sure," I say getting in the backseat

I put my book bag on the ground and looked at the driver and it's Mac.

He continued driving and looking at his phone while John talked nonstop like usual.

"Thanks for the ride bro," he says trying to get Macc's attention. I look up at Mac who is texting on his phone

"thank you for the ride," I say louder to get his attention. "Fasho," he says without moving his head from his phone I get out of the car looking dumb af.

I walk to my apartment with John in tow. Soon as I opened the door I hear crying and my mom on the phone with her boss.

"Yes, I'm On my way now yes thank you so much".

My mom hands me Romeo "Here sweetie he is a little fussy Mr. Walker wants me to pick up an extra shift so I won't be back until the morning". she explained while putting on her coat and heading for the door.

"Umm, I do have school in the morning, Mom".

"Sorry sweetie I will try to be back as early as possible if not I will call the school and say you are sick" she replied with a half smile.

"oh you have a little brother he is so cute," John said cooing at the baby

"Thanks," I say as I start making a bottle for the baby.

"So I didn't know Mac was your brother," I say trying to figure out how I didn't know this.

" huh," John says confused

 "you didn't, everybody knows".

Shit, we would have hung out a long time ago I thought.

Once I put the baby to sleep we can get started" I told him.

Once we got done with the rough draft. I noticed John is really smart and sweet but still ugly so Nah.

"Ok, I'm gonna head out to get ready for school in the morning you wanna walk to the bus stop in the morning".

"I can come by at 8," he said.

"That's if your mom gets back in time"

 "umm sure," I say.

"Cool see you tomorrow," he says happily walking out the door. As I close the door and head upstairs to my room, I hear Sarah once again screaming.

I look out to see Macc's fine ass get out of his range rover and she runs and jumps in his arms and they start slobbing each other down, her parents don't care he is like 22 and she is only 16.

I shake my head as I run downstairs to get Romeo and lay him next to me he coo and I see those beautiful eyes that remind me of Sade.

I wonder why she gave up this precious baby. I fall asleep thinking about how I promise I will get older and do better and be better than my mom.

I will be better than my sister hell even my grandparents it's like our whole lineage is raising kids in the hood and not having anything to show for it.

My kids will go to better schools and live in a better neighborhood, I think as  I drift into a deep sleep with all my sorrows.
