Chapter 2

    "Hello, Cousin...." Melody stood there in shock. She did know who this person was...and she guesses their cousins? "Excuse me, but who exactly are you. I have never seen you before." "Oh I guess your parents haven't told you yet, but I'm Uma Urs-" Uma got cut off by Melody "Uma?! As in the daughter of Ursula?! As in the daughter of the octopus who almost ruined my mom's life?! And you are saying we're cousins?" Melody doesn't even wait for Uma to respond, she just runs out of their dorm and tries to find Delia. She was running down the halls and she started crying. She couldn't find Delia anywhere. Then she bumps into her father. "Melody what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Eric says in a concerned tone. "U-Uma s-she is my roommate a-and she said we are c-cousins" Melody cried out and Eric went to hug her. "Come on, let's have dinner since it's already dinner time." Suggested Eric. They went to the dining room and sat at a table. "Well Melody Ursula and your grandfather, King Triton are brother and sister which makes Ursula your mother's aunt, your great aunt, and so Uma is your cousin-." Eric got cut off by King Ben "Hey Melody, Professor Eric how are you guys settling in?" "I-I um GURD." "Well I have to go talk to other people and see how they're settling in but I'll see you around." King Ben walks away with a strange look on his face and he mumbles under his breath "She's kinda cute, I think she likes me." After Ben walks away and Melody goes back to normal Eric asks "Do you like that boy? He is engaged to Mal and I don't want you dating, you need to focus on school." "UGH dad that isn't fair I'm 16 I can date whoever I want and still focus on school at the same time. I know Ben and Mal are engaged and I don't expect him to break up with her because they're soulmates but I can't just magically stop having feelings for him." Melody replied aggravatedly. "Mom got married to you when she was 16! So tell me why I can't date one boy. The last time I talked to a boy, I totally screwed up and cake got in his face! Give me another chance!" Melody yelled at her father. "Enough with the attitude Melody! What I said has been said! You should focus on school and not boys!" Eric whispered yelled, so nobody could hear him. "Fine, I just won't date anyone. Look I have to go. I want to walk around and get a feel of this place. Bye." U ok Melody got up and she left. She was actually going to go find Ben. Technically it is looking around the place, but she had a purpose. Finally, after a couple of minutes of walking around, she finds Uma walking past her. Melody just freezes up and stands there, hoping that Uma wouldn't see her. But she did. "Hey, roomy. How is your first day here? I mean I can show you around a little more." Melody tried walking away but she couldn't. She got pulled back by Uma. "Get away from me Uma. I don't want to be near you!" Uma slightly chuckles then says "Sorry, but we are roommates, can't get away from me that easily" Uma walks off laughing and Melody just continues to look around for Ben. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she spotted Ben...then her face changed from happy to sad in a matter of two seconds. She saw Ben and Mal kissing. She stepped back for a moment and hid behind the wall. She knew she would eventually see something like this, but it hit her harder than she thought. She decided that she would just walk past them naturally and see if they would see her. She walked past them acting normal and out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Mal and Ben were fighting. She felt bad, but deep down inside of her, she was happy. She decided to just ignore it and go back to the dining room to see if her father was still there. She was walking past the door that revealed outside, then what she saw outside shocked her. She never thought she would see this happen, but it did. She saw her mother and father were fighting, she couldn't hear them, but she could see that her mother was crying and it looked like they were yelling at each other. She decided to get closer so she could hear them. "Eric I can not believe you would cheat on me after everything we have been through! I traded my tail for legs so we could be together! We have a child!!" Melody tries to get even closer but then she trips over a rock. "Melody?!" Eric and Ariel gasped. "I heard everything! I know you cheated on mom, I can't believe you would do that dad you were my idol, I looked up to you because I thought you were a good guy but I guess you're not who I thought you were!" Melody ran to her dorm, tears streaming down her cheeks. She passes by Ben, "Melody are you ok?" Melody just kept running to her dorm and completely ignored Ben. Melody stormed into her room and she threw herself onto her bed, then Uma walked in.
