"And that's the last of it," Principal Park announces, finishing the last piece of paper he needed to ensure Felix was one of the newest students to Brooklyn High. "You're now officially enrolled into Brooklyn High, Mr. Lee."

Felix turns to see his mom clapping as if he won an award. "Mom please calm down," He groaned. She apologizes for her excitement - a wide smile still on her face.

"This is quite literally the best school in Brooklyn-" Mr. Park boasted with a proud smirk, "Though not saying much the rest of the schools in Brooklyn let their students do whatever the hell they want." Felix listened carefully, feeling somewhat nervous.

He just transferred from one country to another. He wasn't used to being away from home for so long. Hopefully, this feeling of homesickness fades away. Who knows when he was going back to Australia - he didn't even know if there was a possibility of that happening.

"Here, I have complete control and order. Some delinquents roam these halls, so let me know if any of them bother you." Mr. Park smiles causing his forehead wrinkles to show. The man looked no older than forty. His dark brown hair was styled in a nice swoop, eyes light green, and skin nice and pale.

"Thank you, sir," Felix hums. The blonde looked down at his lap, fiddling with his fingers. He picked and picked on them as Mr. Park continued to explain how rude the students here could be.

Students he needed to stay away from. The Aussie was going to anyway, he only had three close friends back home. And that said much about him. He wasn't a social person and often kept to himself most of the time.

"And speaking of those delinquents," Mr. Park looks behind and the slam of the principal door has Felix flinching in the comfortable seat. He looks back and sees two students.

One girl with short red hair - dressed in a black crop top, a patterned beige and black skirt with fishnet legging underneath, topping the outfit with black doc martens.

The other was a boy who was a foot taller than the girl. His hair- black styled in a quiff and eyes as blue as the sea. He had multiple ear piercings. But his intimidating demeanor opposed his attire. He wore a red and black varsity jacket, a white shirt, and black jeans.

The two glared at Felix and both crossed their arms against their chest. Felix gulped and looked back to Mr. Park for reassurance. He could still feel their intense stare sending daggers at the back of his head.

"Don't worry about them, Felix." Mr. Park smiles kindly. His smile lasts only three seconds before he rolls his eyes at the boy and the girl behind him.

"What have you two done now? Mr. Scott, I believe I've said if you get into any more trouble you're benched this season."

"You're shitting me, Mr. Park, this time it wasn't my fault that nerd was in my way!" The guy argues and Felix's mother gasps at his profanity.

"Come on, Felix. You don't need to hear any of that." She grabs his hand to drag him out of the office. Before Felix closes the door behind him, he hears a snarky comment coming from the girl.

"What a fucking loser." Felix frowned at the insult and removed his mom's hand away. She turns to look at him worriedly.

"What's wrong, Lix?" She asks, going to cup his cheeks again, Felix moves her hands away from his face before she could. He goes to a corner to isolate himself from but she follows him with a worried look on her face.

"Mom for goodness sake stop treating me like a child!" He blurts and her face softens up. She knew Felix never really yells unless he was truly bothered or mad.

"I'm almost sixteen years old and y-you don't..." He sighs and runs one of his hands through his blonde hair. "Have to treat me like a kid anymore."

"You're right...I sometimes forget you are growing up right before my eyes." She chuckles lightly, her voice cracking a bit and Felix notices that she was starting to get teary-eyed.

Oh my gosh.

"Mom-" Felix started and before he knew it she's sniffling and trying to stop the tears from flowing down her face. Students were now coming out of classes as it was now passing period.

Why did he have to start school today?

He hasn't even started his first class yet his mom was embarrassing him and students found him.

"I'll be fine. Mom stop crying." He urged and his mom nodded - rubbing her eyes with the back of her hands. "You don't need to worry about me anymore." Truthfully, Felix worries that because he looks so innocent many will take advantage of him.

He knew there were bullies in every highschool. He got picked on occasionally at his old school. They would automatically think he's weak and fragile just by looking at him. But moving here, he was going to change that and he won't back down so easily anymore. Unlike in his previous school, he won't give the bullies satisfaction.

That was a promise.

"Okay," She sighs, "No need to worry about you anymore. You're my strong and brave son and I know that." She convinces herself and Felix hesitantly nods his head. "I won't be able to pick you up from school today. So, you're gonna have to take the subway home." She puts a hand on his shoulder and the blonde tenses.

Taking the subway alone with random people filled was his nightmare.

"F-fine, now can you please go now? I'm gonna be late for my first class." Felix groans still leaned against the wall, trying to hide from the students who wouldn't stop being nosy.

"I'm going." She hums. "Oh! Here's twenty dollars for your lunch honey!" His mom pulls out her wallet to place the money in Felix's hand.

With a kiss on his cheek, his mom finally leaves, and a sigh of relief escapes his mouth. He rubs the residue of her kiss before walking down the halls- nervously.

He grips the straps of his book bag that was on his back the entire time. He walked with his head down looking at his shoes. He accidentally ran into someone and before he knew it, his back hit against the lockers roughly.

"Watch where you're fucking going!" A tall boy yelled with a bunch of others behind him. Felix gulped and licked his dry lips. He looked so intimidating - dark black hair, piercing eyes, and broadly shaped.

"S-sorry-"

"S-sorry, shut the fuck up." The other mocked him and his friends laughed. "You must be a newbie aw." The other gets close to Felix by the lockers and the blonde looks up at him, afraid.

Stop being scared, Lix!

"Welcome to Brooklyn High! Loser." The other smirked and ruffled Felix's hair roughly.

"Look, Lucas, you got him scared." A boy with orange hair grins and the boy - Lucas laughs comically. Just when Felix was about to move off the lockers, Lucas pushed him again before walking off.

His posse all sending Felix nasty glares as they left. The messed up thing about the encounter was students continued walking the halls as if it were normal.

Did no one care how they just punked him like that? Nobody stopped to tell the other to quit picking on him. The blonde was already regretting everything. But he wouldn't let that boy Lucas get to him.

He had a promise to keep and he was going to stick to it. No matter how cruel the students were going to be.
