The note

As soon as I reached my room and opened the door I saw all the boxes were still here n’ there full of stuff that hasn't been unpacked yet, the only items that did get unpacked were all of my clothes, otherwise my mom would force me to iron them again which is a pain in my ass to do. I changed into a t-shirt and shorts then flopped on my bed. I then picked up the music box and noticed that there was a drawer on the side that I didn't see. I opened the drawer and found what looked to be a note written by maybe a girl, because the handwriting was way too nice to be a guy, and she probably lived with the owners of this house sometime before we moved here, about 98 years ago it looks like, this house is about 131 years-old after all. Inside was also a locket which was bent shut. Something had to have put a lot of pressure onto the locket to get it to bend in a way that it would become impossible to open. I picked up the letter and began to read it.

       Oct,16, 1919                                         7:30 am

It's been about 16 days since mama left me and father. She told me before she left that she would be back on my 11th-birthday, that's today. I hope she arrives for dinner, father is making a special meal for us.

Oct,16,1919                                           Midnight

It's midnight now and mama still hasn't arrived, father told me that I should go to bed,but no, i’m not going to bed till mama comes back. She promised me that she would be back on my birthday. Mama lied, she lied to me. There was a knock on the front door, father told me there was a box on the porch from mama to me. Inside the box was a little blue music box, it looks to be custom made. The tag said ”sorry I didn't come, I want you to know that I love you and if it was up to me I would have come, but anyway, Lucille this is a special music box just for you. I-

The rest of the page is ripped up. “So This belonged to a girl named Lucille who was 11 at the time of writing this letter. Her mother left her and her father in this house, so I'm guessing a divorce. I wonder what she meant by “If it was up to me I would have come?” Was someone keeping her hostage? Or was that fake and she never wanted to come back? That theory is a little sad.” I then put the music box on the floor, soon shutting my eyes and going to sleep.

I awoke to the sound of music playing. The room was dark, only some light peeking in from the light of the moon high up in the sky. I couldn't move, or speak. I was paralyzed. I soon felt some kind of pressure on my chest, I started to ache. It was getting hard to breathe now. It felt as if something heavy, very heavy was sitting on my chest trying to make it so I pass out, or stop breathing. I move my eyes to the corner of my room just barely seeing the music box on the floor. I start to hear taps on the wall closest to my bed. I looked toward the sound, still not being able to move. In the corner of my eye, I see a tall blacked out figure that hid in the shadows. It had big claws that could easily rip you in half if it really wanted to. It had long horns that sat on each side of his head. He began to walk closer, but the closer he got the harder it was to breathe. By the time he came face to face with me I wasn't able to breathe. No sound came out of my mouth as I tried to scream. It had red beady eyes that stared into your soul, hot breath, and fangs. It slowly touched my right arm. When I finally “woke up” I gasped for air trying to get as much I can just to not pass out from lack of oxygen. I coughed a couple times. I looked to my right soon seeing deep scratch marks in my arm bleeding. I tried to stop the bleeding by ripping up one of my shirts and wrapping it around my arm.

That morning I put on my boots and hoodie and stepped outside, soon entering the woods that surrounded my house. I step over logs, sticks, and vines, trying hard not to get my foot caught on anything and send me flying. The trees were about the height you'd say a giant would be. My mother told me on the way down here that this forestest is mainly made up of Doerner Fir trees which can grow up to 300ft tall. It's crazy walking by these tall trees though, I constantly feel like one of them is just going to fall on top of me at any moment. The light beams through the trees like god rays, something you see in a video game, but they cast a faint green shine through the air. But as I'm walking I see many signs of wildlife like some small bones, and I saw a deer and its doe running. I also saw a hare just sitting on a log watching something in the distance. It seemed like it was daydreaming about its family or an adventure it wants to go on, or probably just building up the courage to tell the hare it likes their feelings so it could have a mate partner. I don't know but i just let it be, it seemed like a pretty cool dude, uh i mean hare.

As I walk further into the woods I hear a river that is moving pretty fast. It's pretty hot out here today so I followed the sound. When I went to the river it was amazing. The water was cold but not freezing, the water had no visible pollution in it, tiny and medium fish were swimming down it, and my surrounding area was just peaceful all together. I took off my shoes and stuck my feet into the water only to pull them out again because the temperature of the water was a lot colder on my feet than my hands. Once i put my feet in the water i just relaxed, i was in a pretty shady area so i could sit down without worrying about getting sunburnt. The cool part is after a couple minutes of me just enjoying the water a bear came down to eat, from the looks of it it was a black bear. I know it saw me and when I saw it I just froze. But he just looked at me and then just looked away. I like to think that he just saw me and thought that I was a relaxing buddy. For the rest of the time I was there the bear stayed, when I relaxed and just started playing in the water, like splashing my feet, soon the bear did too. It was fun, and soon I gave him a name. His name is Walter, because we splashed in the water. Get it?

Once I got up to get my shoes back on, Walter just watched me and once I was done I said bye and told him that it was fun to hang out at the river together even if he was on the other side of the river then  me. By the way the reason why i call Walter a he is because when he sat down on his ass i saw his dick, it wasn't a nice sight but hey it gave me information i needed to name him. He also has a bald spot on his tummy where it looks like a stitch was. So i'm guessing he was shot and then taken care of so he could live again.

I walked down the river for a bit and saw some strange carvings in the trees, so obviously this spot was taken over by teenagers at one point. Some of them were pretty funny while others were just a couple carvings like “A and J forever” and shit. This area would be a cool place for me and Veronica to hang out or for a family picnic, or if I ever have a date here. That would probably end in me and whoever I'm with, taking our clothes off so that's probably not a good idea for a first date. Probably like a second date or third, but definitely not first. My gole for high school is not to be a fuck buddy since alot of my friends were cought in that situation back home. But who knows, I may not even get the chance to date anyone in highschool since it's hard for me to talk to girls and understand what they're talking about. Most of the time it just sounds gibberish. I mean I can talk to girls when it's through a headset, but face to face? No, not so much. I don't know what it is but it's easier to talk to girls when it involves defeating a boss or getting loot.

After a bit I start back towards the house which is alot harder to get to when you're going uphill instead of down hill. I look up at the sky to see the sun is starting to go down bast the trees. But as I'm walking  I hear the sound of a twig snap behind me, I stop for a minute to listen. I soon hear another, whatever is behind me is getting closer and faster by the second, I start to run. Almost tripping over my own feet. I jump over logs heading towards the house. I see it in the distance I'm close. I get to the gate struggling to get it open. It won't budge, I keep trying to open it. I can't climb it because there's no way to. The wall is too high with nothing to grab on and at the top are spikes that will kill you, the same spikes are on the gate. Once I finally get the gate open my vision blacks out.
