His paws scraped against the cold concrete as he and his best friend went on one of their daily morning walks. It was one of those mornings where everything seemed peaceful and quiet, as if everything were sleeping. Not a car in the road, not a single bird chirping, even on a crisp and cool morning like this one. The sunrise was just barely peaking over the edge of the horizon.

"Zoinks Scoob, it's a bit chilly out here," The man walking next to him spoke. Shaggy was his best friend. Scooby would never go anywhere without his companion right by his side.

Scooby Doo just nodded his head and continued to lazily walk down the street, one paw after the other. Right over the edge of the hill, they could see a car approaching them. They moved farther away from the street just to be safe as the car came closer.

All of a sudden a 2003 Honda Civic comes barrel rolling down the hill at an ungodly speed, completely smashing into Scooby, flinging him to the side like a piece of meat.  Shaggy was left standing there by himself, screaming. There was so much blood, it was everywhere. Scooby's limp body was flung to the side and the 2003 Honda Civic had crashed into a nearby tree. The door swung open urgently and out came a 3'6 figure. He hobbled over to Shaggy and Scooby, an empty bottle in his hand.

"Like, zoinks little man, you totally just hit my friend with your car!" Shaggy was in tears, kneeling before his best friend who was barely managing to control his breathing. Each breath he took, the more his lungs felt on fire.

"Dobby is sorry! Dobby went clubbing and was returning home from getting crunk!" Dobby then smashed the bottle over Shaggy's head. "Dobby must not have witnesses."

The small house elf then pushes Shaggy's unconscious body aside, deciding to deal with him later,  and sat next to Scooby Doo. He cradled his head as the limp dog muttered his final words. The fire in his lungs hurt too much to hold on anymore. The only thing that escaped his lips was a muttered laugh, "Ree hee hee hee," and just like that, Scooby Doo was no more.
