Engame Alternate Ending

Thanos puts the power stone back into the gauntlet. Yelling from the gamma radiation coursing through his body. Until Iris makes one last attack on him, pulling on the gauntlet before Thanos punches her away.

"You should have joined when you had the chance." He said. "I am, inevitable."

Thanos snaps his fingers, but nothing happens except a metallic sound. He sees the infinity stones missing. He turns and sees Iris standing before him, wearing Tony's gauntlet, holding the stones. The energy coursing through her, trying to hide the pain.

"And I, am Iris Spain, one of the Guardians of the Galaxy." She responded.

She snaps her fingers, making everything bright, after the light went dim. All the heroes looks on in exhaustion, knowing that they have won. Thanos, in horror, looks around and sees his entire army disintegrate. He looks at Iris, who just stares at him. Thanos sits down and mourns before slowly being erased from existence himself.

With Iris, power of the gauntlet raw energy has left her entire right side fatally injured. She stumbles for a bit before her body collapses besides a pile of debris. Sense Tony was closer he rushed over to her, tears starts to flow in his eyes.

"Iris? Can you hear me? Hey, we won." He sobbed, She was unresponsive. "I'm so sorry, this is all my fault."

"Iris!" Tony turns an sees Rocket, and the other Guardians, running towards her.

Tony steps aside and let them see her. All the Guardians look at Iris in shock, seeing her fatal injures. Rocket kneels in front of his fading wife, while the other Guardians surrounds the couple in a circle. Iris is barely able to move her head, but manages to look at her husband's eyes.

  "Hey Rocky." She said quietly. Rocket didn't have the words to express his grief, he puts his hand on the left side of her cheek, and tries his best to give Iris a long look of his smiling face.

"I like that nickname." He said softly. Iris only response was a smile with tears in her eyes. Rocket couldn't contain the grief much long, tears started to come down his face.

"Rocky, look at me. Please?" She asked, Rocket was hesitant, but did what his wife asked him. "It's gonna be, okay. I, Love you."

With that acknowledgment, Iris eyes started to slowly close, until they were closed completely. Rocket can no longer contain his grief and starts crying on her non injured shoulder. The remaining Guardians, and all heroes who helped in battle kneeled in Iris honor.

   Tony and Pepper offered the Guardians to have Iris's funeral at their cottage. Before they start the funeral the Guardians watch a holo graphic message for them, from Iris.

  "I wanted what everyone wants, a happy ending. I want my sacrifice to be remembered as a way to celebrate, don't think of it as a defeat." Iris, in the hologram, takes a deep breath. "When Thanos told me I was capable to use the stones, I knew I was gonna be the one to use them. I don't know what will happen to me, so I thought it would be best to record a message to you guys. I want to say, thank you, for giving me my happy ending."

   Iris suddenly gets up, walking towards the camera she's using to record the message. She leans down and smiles, looks straight towards Rocket. "I love you, to the moon and back." The message ends and the hologram cuts out.

Rocket carries a wreath, made out of silver artificial flowers to show all the heroes. He puts the wreath on the lake, everyone silently watches the wreath float away. After the funeral, everyone the area. The Guardians left Rocket alone at the lake to give him some space. Tony looks at sees Rocket looking at the wreath. He walks up to him, looking at the wreath as well.

  "Your wife was great women, we couldn't have done all of this without her. I'm sorry things have to be this way." He said

  "Thank you, she did what was best for all of us." Rocket replied.

  "I got something for you." Tony reaches his hand in his pocket, he pulls out Iris's wedding ring. "I found in the debris, I thought you should have it."

   Rocket reaches his hand out, and grabs the ring from him. "Thank you, Tony."

   Tony nods in response, he walks away to give  Rocket some privacy. Rocket looks at the ring, then at the sky. He holds the ring in a firmed fist, and puts it on his his chest.

  "I love you too, Iris. To the stars across the galaxy, and back." He cried, he choked out on his words from crying. The women he loved, is gone.
