At the party.....

Matthew: so then i had to jump out the window, climb down a tree, and run home...bare naked for 2 blocks.

*kai starts laughing*

Matthew: well look who it is. crossing his arms

*kai turns around*

Matthew: didn't think you'd show. nice shirt btw..really compliments your eyes.

*Dylan rolls his eyes*

Dylan: first of all it's salmon not pink. and i did tell you i was gonna show. i plan tonight.

Kai: "plans". guys code for hook up. he says while coughing. as long as it's not Mae then i don't care what you do.

Matthew: or who. he winks

Kai: like i said as long as it's not Mae. that girl is crazy.

Dylan: hell would freeze over before i ever date that girl.

"kai and Matthew start laughing"

Matthew: speaking of.

Kai: and that's our cue to leave.

*they walk away...and Mae walks over to Dylan*

"Mae Jones."

"Head cheerleader.."

"queen of our school"

"And all round an awful person"

"for years she's been trying to get my attention, flirting with me every chance she gets."

"but as i'm interested in her i am in slamming my head in a car door"

"no one could ever get my attention, no one expect HER..."

Dylan: did you need something?

Mae: omg you're so funny. i was telling Amelia how funny you are.

*Dylan rolls his eyes*

Mae: so seniors huh. i cant believe it i still rem-

"i didn't even wanna hear whatever nonsense that was about to come out of her. the only sound i could hear was my heart pounding.

"there she is."

"she's so beautiful, breathtaking even"

"unlike Mae over here who likes to rub it in your face."

"Sydney Hayes has no idea how gorgeous she is."

"she looks happy tonight. calm."

"it's just a shame that i have to ruin that."

"i may not be able to control my feeling for her or her feels for him"

"but i can control her. he says as he walks away

Mae: HEY WHERE ARE YOU GOING? she shouts.

Haley: so do you think i should go talk to him?

Sydney: yes you definitely go talk to him.

Haley: uh...i don't know....ok no i'm going. i'm going to talk him. ok no lied no i'm not.

*Sydney chuckles*

Sydney: yes, you are. you got this Haley, so go get your man.

Haley: are you gonna be okay?.

Sydney: of course. she smilies

Haley: okay. she run off

"i hate parties like these. always feel uncomfortable and on edge"

"that probably has something to do with the fact that every high school party or event i ever attended has always ended up the same way."

"with Dylan mortifying me and making me cry."

"but this year is gonna be different"

"this is the year i fight back."

Scarlett: having fun? she says walking up behind you

Sydney: not really, you?

Scarlett: same.

*they laugh*

Scarlett: but looks like things are about to get more interesting.

Matthew: well if it isn't my two favourite girls.

*Matthew and kai wave*

Scarlett: so cute.

*Sydney awkwardly waves*

Matthew: how about you and i go grab a drink babygirl?

Scarlett: lead the way.

*Matthew walks away, Scarlett behind him. and Sydney walks towards kai*

Kai: those two really are something else.

Sydney: they really are.

*they chuckle*

"Kai Davis."

"Your stereotypical boy next door"

"good looking, charming, dependable, kind"

"when i was younger i used to have a crush on him"

"but this was a very long time ago"

"now it's only his psycho best friend that lives in my mind"

"over the years we've sort of created an friendship."

"much to the concern of a certain someone."

kai: you look great tonight Sydney.

Sydney: thanks. you don't look too bad yourself Davis.

*they laughed, they smiled, they talked*

"i was having doubts about going through with it. A part of me had convinced myself to let her enjoy herself tonight."

"maybe i could even just talk to her tonight like a normal human being."

"but then she had to go talk to him"

"she had to laugh at his stupid jokes"

"and agree with whatever stupid shit he was saying"

"but her biggest fault....."

"is that she had to look at him in a way that just once in her fucking life she would look at me like."

"decision made." he says groans

"it's show time" he smirks
