Midoriya's POV
I walked away from the kitchen after grabbing my phone, feeling kind of down. I felt happy that my food tasted like my mom's, but so sad at the same time. I kept my eyes on the floor as I walked up the stairs. 'If I had stayed with her, she wouldn't have died and Kacchan and Auntie Mitsuki wouldn't be be tearing up at the taste of my cooking.' I thought, blinking away my own tears. I opened the door to my bed room, not looking up. I closed the door and slid down it, planting my face in my knees.
"Izuku? What's wrong? Why are you crying?"
My head shot up, meeting eyes with a shirtless Todoroki, bent down to my level on hand bracing him on the door next to my head. "I-I'm not crying!" I all but yelled, feeling heat rise to my face as I looked at the amazing figure in front of me. 'Todoroki's so beautiful. His defined collar bone, gently round pecs. His perfectly sculpted abs leading down to his v-line.' I felt myself drool slightly as I looked my boyfriend up and down. "Yum." I mumbled under my breath, completely forgetting why I was upset. "Thanks." Todoroki replied, sending a smile and wink my way. "But why are you upset?" Todoroki's hand gently found its way to my cheek, his thumb stroking it. "I-It's just.... I... My..." I stuttered, before giving up and looking back down to my lap. "I need to change shirt and take care of my wrists." I mumbled, fiddling with my hands.
"Want some help with that?" Todoroki asked, using his fore finger and thumb to lift my chin, bringing my eyes back up to his face. Todoroki was so close, I could see the slightly green parts of his left eye and the darker grey of his right one. I couldn't help but stare. I lifted one of my hands to cup his cheek just under his scar. "You're beautiful." I whispered, completely bewitched by his eyes. "So beautiful." My thumb ran along the bottom of his scar. Todoroki's eyes widened at my compliments. Todoroki moved the hand that was originally holding my chin to his face, clasping mine in his. He closed his eyes and leaned into my hand. I smiled fondly at him, not knowing what I would do without him.
I shivered as blood dripped off my elbow, a small sound coming up as it hit the floor. This quite obviously caught Todoroki's attention as he opened his eyes and looked at my arm. "Oh. I don't think that should be happening." Todoroki said, looking a bit panicky as red had stained my sleeve. "I would agree with you if I didn't know for a fact that I spent a good majority of the night laying on my arms after scratching at them." I replied, looking away from Todoroki's face. "Come on. Let's go take care of these before you drip blood everywhere." Todoroki replied, standing up himself before helping me to my feet. We walked to the bathroom and Todoroki got out some new rolls of bandages as I took off my shirt and started peeling off the blood soaked bandages. I made sure to take them off over the sink as to not make a mess.
I did the dripping one first and gagged as I saw that one stitch had broke open. I tried ignoring as I started on my other arm, all of the stitches there being intact. I grabbed a washcloth, wetting it, and very gently tapping off some of the blood from my arms, avoiding the stitches as to keep them dry-ish. I was especially careful around the busted stitch. "Todo, will you see if they have any medical tape or thin bandaids?" I asked, remembering the lesson Recovery Girl taught on stitches, staples, and glue. "Sure." Todoroki nodded, putting down the gauze he was preparing. "Here's some medical tape." Todoroki said, handing me a small white roll. "Thanks." I replied, my stomach churning worse and worse the more I looked at my arm. I carefully put the tape where the stitch was before having to look away before I barfed. "Want me to do it?" Todoroki asked, his voice echoing a bit as it bounced off the bathroom walls.
"If you don't mind too terribly." I replied whimpily, looking up at Todoroki, finding him a much better view than my arms. "I don't mind at all, just don't puke, okay?" Todoroki smiled gently as he stepped up to me, taking my wrist and wrapping it for me like he had done last night. "Sorry." I mumbled just as Todoroki was tying up my first wrist. "What are you apologizing for? It doesn't bother me. If anything, it makes me feel like I'm doing something to help you." Todoroki explained, placing the gauze on my arm before starting to wrap it.
"I just feel bad. Like maybe I'm taking advantage of you." I replied, looking down at my feet. "You're not. I promise. I love you very much and you love me too. That's all I need." Todoroki smiled, tying the bandages before grabbing both my hands. "Why don't we go cuddle? Maybe take a nap too." Todoroki suggested, pulling my hands up to his face and giving them a kiss. "S-Sure. I bet you're pretty tired." I replied, feeling flustered by the display of affection Todoroki gave me, especially while he is still shirtless.
Todoroki just hummed as he started, very gently leading me to my room. "Wait. I wanna say goodbye to everyone." I said just before we got to my room. "Okay, but put a shirt on for me first? Please." Todoroki asked, our hands still locked together. "You pick." I replied, not feeling like picking out clothes for myself. Todoroki pulled me a bit further into the room before grabbing me a green hoodie with one of his black tank tops. I put both on before heading back down stairs, Todoroki saying he was going to lay down first.
"Hey guys, getting ready to go?" I asked, seeing as Kacchan, Kirishima, and Auntie all had their shoes on. "Yeah, we're all pretty tired, so we are gonna head home. Remember that we are here for you, okay? And Take Your Pills." Auntie Mitsuki spoke, pointing her key at me at the end. "I will. You be safe, okay?" I spoke, opening my arms for a hug and getting one. "Bye Kacchan, bye Kirishima. See you guys at school on Monday." I smiled, waving at the two boys by the door. "See ya nerd." Kacchan grumbled. "Bye Midobro! See you at school!" Kirishima smiled, showing off his teeth and waving back at me.
"Sorry for worrying you guys. Make sure to get better sleep tonight." I said, still feeling pretty bad for dragging them over here last night. "Will do. Bye Izuku." Auntie Mitsuki spoke, waving bye as they all walked out the door. Mic and Aizawa had apparently already said their goodbyes. "I'm gonna go take a nap before my shift tonight." Aizawa said, walking up the stairs. "I think I'm going to go join him. That couch is not a bed. Will you be okay?" Mic asked, patting my hair. "Yeah. Actually, I'm going to go lay down with Todoroki, so it works out." I explained, smiling at the blonde adult. "Okay. I'm gonna head up first. Sleep well." Mic said, walking up the stairs and to his room. I made sure to lock the front door before heading upstairs to my room, finding Todoroki laid on my bed, barely awake.
"Sorry it took so long." I whispered, hopping into bed with him. "It's okay, just come here." Todoroki replied, opening his arms so I could cuddle him. I did just that as I went under my blanket and into his arms. "Sleep." Todoroki mumbled, kissing the top of my hair. "Same goes for you." I smiled, hugging my half and half boyfriend closer to me. It didn't take long before Todoroki's breath evened out and he had fallen asleep. I relaxed into his arms, loving just being here with him. "I love you." I whispered, kissing his neck before trying to fall asleep myself along side him.
Sleep didn't find me as easily as I had hoped. Every time I closed my eyes, panic washed over me like a wave making my eyes shot open. Eventually though, the soothing pace of Todoroki's breathing and heart beat and the gentle warmth coming from him, lulled me off into a comfortable sleep.
