Guinevere couldn't refuse the flowers so Granger ended up accompanying her to her room to place them there. A servant followed them after Granger asked for a vase to be sent in Guinevere's quarters.

The servant assisted Guinevere in arranging the flowers before the three exited the room. Guinevere thanked the servant before she and Granger proceeded to the throne room. Guinevere debated on whether or not she ask him about the courting thing from earlier.

Before she could make up her mind, they already made it to the throne room where everyone else were gathered. Gusion immediately spotted her and raised a hand as his greeting to her. She smiled back at him while Granger kept a straight face, walking to where Alucard and Tigreal were.

Guinevere watched him go before turning to Gusion who was smiling widely.

"Where'd you wander off this time? I thought you and Lancelot were training together but he told me you were with Granger."

"Uh he showed me around town. He thought I needed the fresh air." She replied.

Gusion raised a brow and glanced at the demon hunter from across the room who was busy conversing with Tigreal.

"Fresh air, huh?" Gusion mumbled to which Guinevere only nodded.

Her mind still returning to the conversation of her brother and Granger from earlier. She failed to notice the way Gusion eyed Granger.

Lancelot then ruffled Guinevere's hair once he joined in, making the princess flinch away and glare at him.

"Knock it off. You're ruining my hair." She hissed.

Lancelot chuckled, "I don't think that'll change his feelings about you  though."

Guinevere felt her cheeks burn at that while Gusion frowned in confusion.

"Whose feelings?" He inquired.

Lancelot glanced at him and shrugged, "Somebody, Paxley."

Before Gusion could utter another word, Silvanna entered the throneroom which instantly hushed everyone.

"I bring wonderful news." She started as she smiled widely at everyone, "The soldiers I deployed around the empire have seen the enemies retreating. No abyssal demons were spotted anywhere near our territories."

"Why would they retreat?" Fanny asked in confusion.

Silvanna looked at her, "That detail is still unknown but nonetheless, I believe peace in the empire will go on for a while."

"I think we shouldn't let our guard down just yet." Tigreal commented which Silvanna agreed with.

"Yes. I just thought that sharing this piece of information would lift your spirits up for a moment. But Tigreal is right. We must keep on training."

Before Silvanna could say another word, a servant came rushing in and hastily bowed down in front of the princess.

"Your Highness, I bring news from Swan Lake. Princess Odette has received news from her troops that a war is imminent between two families near their kingdom."

Guinevere and Lancelot couldn't help but feel uneasy. Two families. Granger looked to the siblings, having a hunch on what was going on.

"Which families?" Silvanna inquired.

"The Baroque and The Paxleys."

Guinevere bit on her lip while Lancelot placed a hand on her shoulder to try and calm her.

"Princess Odette also asked me to tell Princess Guinevere and Prince Lancelot that the King of the Baroque House is currently ill and is in need of assistance in the impending war."

Guinevere felt her heart crack. Why didn't she even think about their father? He must be so worried about them and now he's all alone, about to face war.

"We'll be heading home right away." Lancelot announced, "Thank you for your hospitality Your Highness but we should head back." He said to Silvanna.

Silvanna nodded, "I'll have a carriage ready for you."
