"Find someone who will
tremble for your touch,
someone whose fingers are
a poem."Kira jumped out of her seat at the sound of knocking on her front door.
She pulled the door opened and crashed into Ava who returned the action with a hug just as fierce. The two laughed a they pulled away.
"It feels like it's been forever since I saw you last!" Kira exclaimed, moving so they her and Avery could enter.
She shook hands with him and offered a polite smile while Ava replied, "It really has," she tsked. "How is your new job going?"
While the two had not seen much of each other they owled each other daily. Ava was ecstatic to hear about Kira's job. She was also happy to see her so happy and relaxed as she greeted them. Ava smiled over at Regulus, pulling him into a hug. He really was the best thing that happened to her.
"It's been going great! I'm going to be assigned to a division soon and I'll officially be an Unspeakable," Kira grinned, walking over to Regulus and putting her arm around his waist. He smiled down at her and put his arm over her shoulder, giving it a light squeeze.
"That's amazing!" Ava grinned. A knock on the door alerted them once more.
"Ah that must be Evan," Regulus said, moving away from Kira to go let him in.
"Make yourself at home, you two. Would you like anything to drink? Wine perhaps?" Kira asked.
"Wine would be good," Ava said, Avery nodding along in agreement. "I'll come help you."
The two girls walked to the kitchen. Ava spent the walk admiring the house.
"So?"
"So what?" Ava replied, leaning on the kitchen counter. She watched Kira pour five glasses of wine.
"How's it going with Avery?"
Ava sighed, "Well, Mother wants us to get ready soon. The wedding is in three weeks."
Kira looked at Ava with shock, 3 weeks? "Oh, A."
"I know, I know. Him and I have come to an agreement. He tolerates me and I tolerate him. It would be torture spending the rest of your life with someone who hates you."
"Are you getting along well, though?" Kira asked, handing Ava a glass of wine.
Ava nodded, "Well enough. He's still, you know, Avery."
"Does he know?"
Ava looked down, running her finger in circles along the wine glass.
Kira sighed, "Ava, babe, you need to tell him. You love your family too much to abandon the marriage, so you need to tell him why you'll never be able to fully commit to it."
"I know, I know. I'll tell him soon," she offered a sad smile.
Kira grinned, "Now, let's go. We can't avoid the others all day."
Ava laughed, "Unfortunately."
Kira stumbled into Evan as he walked down the hallway of her house.
She smiled as he apologised. "What's wrong, Evan? You've been very quite today," she asked. He seemed more withdrawn and she could only hope it was not too serious.
"It's Delilah," he sighed. Delilah, being his girlfriend of a few months.
"Is everything okay?"
He shrugged, "I don't know. I don't think I like girls."
Kira nodded, letting him speak.
His next words came out in an unsure tone, "I don't think I like anyone."
Kira nodded, "You think you might be asexual?"
He shrugged again and looked down, "Yeah."
She pulled him into a hug and rested her chin on his shoulder. "It's nothing to be ashamed of," she whispered.
He hugged her back and buried his head in her neck, "I know. But my parents expect me to get married and carry on the family line, and I don't want to get married or have children."
"You don't have to. Just tell Delilah that you're asexual, and see where it goes from there. Then you can tell your parents you don't want to get married or have children. They won't disown, it's the least of their worries.
"You are their only child and they love you. They might upset for a while that they won't get what they wanted and that's okay."
Evan sniffed and then pulled away from the hug. "Thank you, Kira," he smiled.
She smiled, and nudge his arm with her elbow, "Let's go join the others before they think one of us died."
Evan laughed, "With the way Regulus has been stressing over you lately, I wouldn't be surprised if he does think you're dead."
"He worries to much," she sighed, remnants of laughter still falling from their lips.
Evan chuckled, nudging her as they walked, "He cares about you."
"Well I'd be damned if he didn't."

Sooo yeah, not my best but I have a headache so it's what you're getting for now.
I'm bored so how about we do a Q/A?
It can be about anything, the book, the characters, my writing, or just me (though I warn you I'm not that interesting.) Please don't ask anything personal or inappropriate, I will not answer.
Hope you enjoyed, and how are December holidays going? <3
