I wake up and the sheets are still warm
from where you laid beside me the night prior
I go into the bathroom and there's your towel
damp on the floor from the night before
when you used my shower
and told me to get in with you to save water
and when I look in the mirror
It's like you're still right there
looking at me from inside the glass
I walk into the kitchen
and next to the sink
are the memories of last night's dinner
that we cooked together
Next to the door is an empty coat hanger
where you slung your jacket
Underneath that is another empty slot
where your shoes were slipped off
before you ran to me
Everywhere I look I see remnants of you
It's like your ghost is still in these rooms
lingering and haunting
waiting for me to come find her
Even though you up and left
like you do every night you come to spend with me
I can still feel her
your ghost still lingers
