it was a late, chilly night and a young man by the name of lee felix was making his way down the streets of his town. it was quiet and not a single person could be seen except for the blonde male. seemed about right though, for it was nearly 3 in the morning.

felix was moving quickly down the streets as if he was late for something, the bag in his hands occasionally tapping his thigh as he moved. he continued to move quickly, ignoring his breath being seen from the cold.

eventually, after a handful of minutes, felix arrived at his destination: the local cemetery.

most people thought of felix as an odd ball, but he thought himself as special. he had a gift where he could communicate with the dead, like spirits and ghosts, and possibly help them move on. he never could see them, but he could feel their presence and would try to make them feel safe and not forgotten.

he arrived at exactly 3 am at the gate that showed it was the entrance to the cemetery. he wasn't sure why, but the spirits felt more alive and active around 3, so he made a purpose to be there at that time.

he eyed the entrance and kneeled down, opening the bag he had in his hands. he pulled out what appeared to be a bag full of flower petals. he ripped the bag open and instantly started sprinkling the bright colored petals everywhere around the entrance to the cemetery. he used this is a way to appease the dead and let them know he was a friend, and he liked to think it protected him as well.

once finished, he dusted himself off and stood up, looking around. he felt saddened by the feeling of the spirits, able to sense most of their emotions such as sorrow and anger. he shook his head and walked through the cemetery, speaking lowly and gently to any spirit that would hear him, occasionally tossing the extra flower petals on graves he passed.

it was a shame, there was tons of new graves he didn't see the last night he was here. plus, most of the graves didn't seem like they've been touched or visited in a while. another reason he loved coming here. to make them all know someone cared despite never having known any of these ghosts when they were alive.

felix continued around the large graveyard, murmuring outloud as often as he could, not really expecting any responses, occasionally running a hand through his messy, blonde hair. probably went walking around for almost an hour before spotting something that caught his eye. a few feet away from him he spotted a figure slouched down beside a tombstone. the figures shoulder were low and felix could sense from just watching the figure that it seemed lost and confused. he hesitated, slowly approaching the figure, hearing small sounds coming from the figure.

as he got closer, felix could see that the figure was a boy around his own age. the boy was scanning the cemetery, not noticing felix, speaking outloud, saying 'hello' every few moments as if wanting someone to say hello back. felix opened mouth, about to greet the boy, curiously wanting to know what he was doing here.

he then froze as he got closer. he had expected the boy to be a human like him, but he was frozen in place as he noticed the boy had a strange glow around him and almost seemed... see through. he had messy, blonde hair though and a skinny appearance. but, he looked pretty lifeless, telling felix that indeed he was a spirit of some sort.

but, how was that possible? felix had never been able to physically see a spirit! was his eyes playing tricks on him?

he stiffened when the boy's eyes fell on felix eventually. felix shivered as he met the male's gaze, which was clear and also lifeless. but, the boy gave him the brightest smile felix had ever seen.

"hi! you're looking at me!" the boy said excitedly. "everyone's been ignoring me, but it's so nice to see someone looking at me." he said softly, standing up to face felix.
