Secrets and Spies [ON HOLD]

Hello!

Very important news regarding this story, so please, read on.

I was half way through writing chapter 15 when I realized I was not happy. The idea of this story came to me a long time ago yet I haven't been writing it for so long and the thing is, I'm not too happy with it.

I love the idea and the concept, don't get me wrong, this story was my starting point. It's the execution that needs a lot of help.

That is why I am putting this book on hold; so I can design this book, I can't plan it better, so I can be happy with the chapters I am producing.

((I will describe what I mean in a bit))

This change is not going to happen overnight. Hell, with my schedule of life it won't happen in a week. So this process will be slow but if that's what it'll take, then so be it.

I don't want to continue writing chapters when I'm not liking the previous ones or when I think I can do much, much better.

WHAT THIS MEANS:

- over the course of several weeks, maybe even months, I am going to redo this story.

- I will be PLANNING more. I have the idea and direction I want it to take in my mind but I need to write it down as well.

- new cover!! New title!! They both definitely need a change

- mostly minor changes to plot, but major changes to delivery. The basic plot will remain the same — but of course, alterations will be made throughout — but the style of writing will change to fully endorse the genre and atmosphere and vibe of the book

- characterization changes. Basically: development, removing characters, pasts + history, characteristics, etc.

WHAT THIS DOES NOT MEAN:

- I am NOT abandoning this story. Although my updates have been slow, I believe in the potential of this story and have a lot of fun writing the concept of it. I would never delete this story and give up on it because it wasn't what I wanted. No. I would work on it to make it what I want.

- this book will still be up as I make these changes. So regularly, you might see it changing. Like, new cover, or new title. And you're gonna be like "what is this?? How did this get here??" But oh well. In all honesty, you could take this book out of your library if you wished, I'm not going to stop you. But this book will still be up. All changes will be shown through the weeks. Do what you will with that.

Again, this process will take time. Especially considering this is not my main WIP and not the only story working on, I'm working on at least three currently. So it's expected to take time.

Anyway, that's basically what I wanted to say. Here you're explanation if you wished for one.
